Hasn't Katharine McPhee been a quiet little bird? I haven't thought about this American Idol alum in AGES. What has she been up to?!! Here she is with a girlfriend waiting for a cab outside of LAX looking very casual and comfy.

You watch the show, fall in love with several of the contestants and are SURE that they will succeed once failing to win American Idol. But typically, album sales are very poor for AI alumn. Blake Lewis is the latest victim, having been dropped by Arista Recods. Such a shame! I really liked him while he was a contestant.
Arista has also cut ties with Taylor Hicks, Ruben Studdard and fellow runner-up Katherine McPhee as well.

Former American Idol champion Ruben Studdard will wed fiancee Surata Zuri McCants in Birmingham, Alabama on Saturday. What a great last few years for Ruben!
The big event will reportedly take place at the Canterbury United Methodist Church in Mountainbrook. A representative for the heavyweight star has confirmed he’s getting married this weekend.
The couple obtained a marriage license at the Shelby County Probate Office in Columbiana, Alabama on Monday, according to People.com. Licenses are only good for 30 days, so we knew this was coming.

It feels like AGES ago that I interviewed Elliott Yamin about his work with the American Diabetes Association! Well, I just wanted to do a quick follow-up to Elliott's involvement with Inspired by Diabetes.
The winners have now been chosen and were announced by Elliott at the American Diabetes Association's 68th Annual Scientific Sessions this past weekend in San Francisco. Elliott and the four winners sat down with session attendees to discuss how diabetes affects their lives and how they are inspired to encourage others struggling with the disease.
Wonderful!

A source from within CNN says that Seacrest, who has filled in for his friend Larry King in the past, is involved in "serious negotiations" to take over "Larry King Live" around year's end. King told The New York Times in April 2007 that Seacrest would be his first choice to take over the show when the time came.

"I'm just hypothetically thinking about it," Paula revealed to OK! after sitting in on Monday's taping of the hit ABC reality competition. And, despite being on a competing network (Idol airs on Fox), she claims there would be no conflict with her show. "There's a thing called the "off-season,' I think."
"It's all Tom's fault!" she joked, adding, "I'm a huge fan [of DWTS]. It would be a phenomenal experience for me to be a student and to learn a form of dance that I've never been introduced to."
But before all the Paula fans go setting their Tivos for next season, she advises, "I'd be honored, but that does not confirm or deny anything that's out there right now.
