Amy Adams' Fiance Is A Keeper
Amy Adams loves her fiance because he always runs her a hot bath.
The actress says actor Darren La Gallo - who she has been in a relationship
with for six years - is very thoughtful and is always doing little romantic
things to make her happy.
"Darren gives up a lot and gives me a lot. He comes to visit me on
set. He draws me a bath when I get home. He's an actor and also an artist
and he sends me drawings. Just lots of sweet little things to keep us
connected."
Amy was thrilled when Darren asked her to marry him on the set of her latest
movie 'Julie and Julia' - which is about world-famous chef Julia Child and
writer Julie Powell, who challenged herself to cook Julia's recipes - but
admits her mind was elsewhere when he popped the question.
She explained to Parade magazine:

The Premiere Of 'Julie And Julia'
The LA premiere of the upcoming film 'Julie & Julia' was held last night. Although both Meryl Streep and Amy Adams looked amazing on the red carpet (and I can't wait to see them in 'Julie & Julia'!), I think some of the celebrity attendees (and their footwear) may have stolen the show!
'24' star Mary Lynn Rajskub looks amazing, doesn't she? I know she's the buttoned-up computer whiz on the show, but I don't think I've ever seen her look this good.
'Chuck' star Yvonne Strahovski always looks good, however. It looks like she took a different red-carpet approach, forgoing white or something more summer-like. What do you think of her shoes?
And what do you think of 'Twilight' star Ashely Greene's shoes? Those strappy heels look very trendy- not to mention tortuous ;)

Amy Adams Calls Herself A Horrible Fiancee
No one could ever accuse Amy Adams of being a bridezilla. As a matter of fact, it sounds like her fiance of one year, actor Darren Le Gallo, just wants to make sure they actually do get married.
"I've been really busy, and I feel like a horrible fiancée that I
haven't gotten swept up in the whole idea of a wedding," Adams, 34,
tells Allure in its August issue. "But I just haven't.""[Darren] wants to be married," Adams says. "I think he was patient for the
first nine months, but that we have been engaged for a year, he's sort
of, you know, 'This is going to happen, right?' He understands I'm busy
but he's ready. He's much more ready for kids and stuff than I am."
It sounds like this is an 180 degree switch from the way Amy was in her twenties.
"When I look at my 20s, or when I look at any period in my life, I
think about how much time I've wasted trying to find the right man,"
she says. "But the truth is, once you have a great man in your life, it
allows you – or at least for me – to look at yourself and grow as an
individual. And gosh, if I had known I was going to find this, my 20s
would have been completely different."
Hindsight's always 20/20.

Meryl Streep And Amy Adams Talk About Gaining Weight For Julie And Julia
Meryl Streep and Amy Adams piled on the pounds while shooting 'Julie and Julia'.
The 'Doubt' co-stars reunited for the forthcoming film - which is about world-famous chef Julia Child and writer Julie Powell, who challenged herself to cook Julia's recipes - and admit the amount of food they had to eat for their roles wasn't good for their waistlines.
Meryl said:
"I gained 15 pounds - I'm still trying to lose it! It was worth it."
Amy added:
"I ate a lot! Cooking is like love - it should be approached with abandon."
The actresses were unable to escape gaining weight as they were ordered to enjoy the food featured in the scenes by director Nora Ephron.
Nora revealed:
"That's one of the things I said in rehearsal. Everyone has to eat in the scenes, and everyone really went for it."
Now THAT'S my kind of movie! While I won't go to the theatre for this one because I like to reserve baby sitter days for high budget films where things blow up, I will most certainly rent this. I adore Julia Child and cooking in general.

Amy Adams Has A Tea Party For Ben Stiller's Daughter
Oh the perks of being the child of a celebrity! You see a movie, your daughter becomes obsessed...and then she gets to meet her idol!
Ben Stiller's 7 year old daughter, Ella, loves the movie 'Enchanted.' She was thrilled when she found out her dad would be in a movie ('Night at the Museum 2') with Amy Adams.
"My daughter is really excited that Amy Adams is in the movie because she loved Amy's film Enchanted. So Amy came over to our house and had a tea party and that was pretty special."
How sweet of Amy totake the time out of her busy schedule to do that! I love hearing stories like this! I think I need to work on making some famous friends so I can hook my kids up too :)
