The 2009 Glamour Women Of The Year Awards

Kerry Washington, Andie MacDowell, Iman, Serena Williams, Stella McCartney, Amanda Righetti, Amy Poehler, Katharine McPhee, and Lisa Ling attended the 2009 Glamour Women of the Year Awards last night in NYC.

Best quote of the night came from Amy when she received her award from 'Saturday Night Live' producer Lorne Michaels. She said:

"Girls, if boys say something that's not funny, you don't have to laugh."

Words to live by! :)

All kidding aside, there was some wonderful inspiration spoken last night at the ceremony.

Maya Angelou: Women are rainbows in the clouds. I am grateful to be a woman. I must have done something great in another life."

Serena Williams:
"You can do whatever you want to do. The most important belief is self-belief."

Congratulations to all the 2009 winners.

Andie MacDowell Was Terrified Of Stripping Onscreen

Andie MacDowell Was Terrified Of Stripping Onscreen

I TOTALLY get this. Andie MacDowell stars as District Attorney Monique Lamont in the TV movies 'At Risk' and 'The Front' (based on the Patricia Cornwall books), and her character had some steamy scenes.

"I play a real b***h, I was a narcissistic sex addict and had to sleep with young men. But it was embarrassing because I'm pretty shy and yet I had to look at myself in the mirror and take my clothes off."

At least it was TV, so there's a limit to how much nudity would end up onscreen, I'm guessing :)

Andie said it's hard getting older as an actress in Hollywood.

"We live in a society that sees getting older in a certain way, but I keep trying to tell myself of my value and my worth.

I'm really comfortable with my age, I have no shame about that whatsoever and I'm really comfortable in my skin. I take really good care of myself and I insist to not go away. I want to work because it brings me a sense of self worth and dignity, I like my job."

Are you looking forward to seeing Andie as DA Monique Lamont?

Eva Longoria Attends L'Oreal Paris' Walk Of Fame Ceremony

Eva Longoria Attends L'Oreal Paris' Walk Of Fame Ceremony

Rainey Qualley, Andie MacDowell, Kate del Castillo and Eva Longoria attended The Friend of The Walk of Fame award presentation ceremony in honor of L'Oreal Paris in Hollywood. I never heard of this award and did a little research:

As L'Oreal celebrates its 100th anniversary this year, the L'Oreal Paris brand will soon be honored for its efforts to beautify and preserve a treasured piece of Hollywood—the iconic Walk of Fame, which celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2010. On Tuesday, October 20th at 11:30 a.m., the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce will present the world's largest beauty company with its Friend of The Walk of Fame award.

As a Friend of the Walk of Fame, L'Oreal Paris will help fund the Walk's renovation and restoration, preserving the world-famous Hollywood landmark for millions of annual visitors and ensuring its survival for years to come.

So basically, The Walk Of Fame is now taking on sponsors right?
