Anna Torv And Joshua Jackson Talk About Fringe

Okay, you know how much I LOVE 'Fringe.' And it's starting its second season next week (September 17, if you're interested :). Anna Torv and Joshua Jackson will be on the cover of next week's Entertainment Weekly (you can check out a sneak peek at the cover here). They also give some hints about what's to come.

'Samantha Who?' Cancelled And Other TV News

It's TV upfronts week, when all the new/returning shows are announced. There's always good news and bad news. For the first shocker of the week: ABC cancelled Christina Applegate's show, 'Samantha Who?' despite it being considered a hit, according to Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello!
Apparently, the network was trying to figure out a way to make each episode cheaper to make, but it apparently couldn't be done.
On the bright side, at least there will be closure: Per an ABC insider,
seven unaired episodes remain in the network's arsenal and the last one 'feels like a series finale.' Of course, there's no telling when or
where those eps will be shown."
Yeah, whatever. Boo!
On the real bright side, Fox renewed 'Dollhouse' (WOOT! WOOT!) and rumors are that they will move 'Fringe' to Thursday nights at 9 pm next fall, opposite ABC's 'Grey's Anatomy.' (Let's hope that scheduling move is a rumor!)
And NBC renewed 'Chuck'! Were you part of the Subway campaign?

Spoiler: 'Fringe' Executive Producer Discusses Season Finale

Okay. If you're a 'Fringe' fan like me, then your head is probably still spinning from last night's season finale. EW.com got an exclusive video clip of 'Fringe' executive producer Jeff Pinkner analyzing the season finale.
SPOILER: if you haven't seen the episode yet, then READ NO FURTHER!
William Bell's office is in the World Trade Tower. A wonderful symbol of maybe an alternate reality is somehow better than the world we live in... Maybe the other side's better off, maybe ours isn't the only and best world."
Jeff also pointed out some details you may have missed of the newspaper on William Bell's (Leonard Nimoy) desk, such as the Obamas moving into the "new" White House and an article in the upper left-hand corner that indicated JFK had not been assassinated.
This show went to a whole level that I never imagined when it began last fall. I. Cannot. Wait. for next season!

Joshua Jackson And Anna Torv At The Screening For Fringe

Joshua Jackson and co-star Anna Torv attended the special screening for their show, 'Fringe' at the ArcLight Cinemas last night in Hollywood. Fringe is one of my favorite new shows on television and I was even lucky enough to sit in on the Comic Con panel when the cast came to NY.
Joshua is great on screen and has a real ease, while Anna honestly portrays a tough agent. But my absolute favorite character from the show is without a doubt John Noble! He MAKES that show.
Is anyone currently watching? What do you think about the program? Will you tune in for season 2?

NY Comic Con - Fringe Panel Discussion With Joshua Jackson And Anna Torv
Today I attended NY Comic Con for the first time in my life - and what an experience it was. While I am not really into comic books, I did enjoy all the gaming previews as well as some of the panels. Sunday is notorious for being the slowest day out of the weekend, but it was the only day I could attend.
I was able to sit in on the Fringe panel discussion as well as the Dollhouse one (which I will post next). On the panel was the full cast including Joshua Jackson and Anna Torv.
What did I learn? Besides what you can see in the video, The Observer (for fans of the show) can be found in every episode. They always hide him in a shot each week and the audience is supposed to play along and try to find him.
Also the little icons that appear prior to the commercial break when pieced together will give you a greater understanding of the bigger picture as well as a sneak peek into next week's episode - that is if you could decipher it of course. FUN!
I am a huge fan of the show, so it was a great pleasure to listen in on the cast and audience interact.
Let's get started:
Anna talking about what it's like being on her first American show and whether or not people are starting to recognize her on the street:
Joshua talking about Calvin and Hobbes and how it relates to some of the items found in the show:
What scene did Joshua think was the grossest from Season 1?

Fringe Star Anna Torv Secretly Marries!

I just love this show and Anna Torv is so good on it! And one person agrees with me...her new husband and co-star Mark Valley!
"I think [Anna] is just a fantastic actor and I really like working
with her," he said. "She's my favorite on the show, to be honest with
you."
Mark is actually her love interest on the show as well, so this is another case of life imitating art. The couple had been dating secretly for a while so this marriage wasn't totally out of the blue like it seems. They actually kept their relationship so quiet that many of the cast and crew of the show didn't even have a clue!
