UPDATED: Britney Spears NOT Performing At The Teen Choice Awards
Britney Spears is set to perform at the 2009 Teen Choice Awards.
The ‘Womanizer’ singer – who is nominated in three categories – will appear on stage at the annual event on Sunday night at Universal City’s Gibson Amphitheatre, in California.
I know Britney has been traveling around the world on her 'Circus' tour, but I can't help but think about the last time she had a big performance on television.
Do you think she is ready? Have you seen her in concert? Has she shaken off all the nerves yet?
Her performance will mark 10 years since the first Teen Choice Awards in 1999, where Britney – who is currently on a break from her world tour - was one of the performers.
The ceremony will also feature appearances from Black Eyed Peas, The Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus and Cobra Starship with Leighton Meester.
Leighton's song is all over the radio isn't it? Can't get away from it even if you wanted to. LOL!
UPDATE: Scratch that, Britney isn't actually performing. The rep for the TCA's just released a statement to Access Hollywood.
The site initially announced on Thursday
morning that she would perform on the show. Following the initial
announcement, a rep for the ceremony told Access Hollywood that the pop princess would not be performing.
I can't believe that her official website had confirmed the news and now they're taking it back! Who's in charge of that?!? They changed the wording from "perform," to "appear."
Britney Spears Goes Blonde Again
Oops! She did it again! Britney Spears tired of her brown hair after just a few weeks and spent more than 8 hours lightening up at Andy LeCompte hair salon.
What do you think of the new color? She took the new look out clubbing until 4am at Grand Star Jazz Club in Los Angeles, California. Here she is returning back to her car.

It's the summer months - it can't be Starbucks coffee all the time right? Britney Spears opted for a little frozen yogurt last night and was seen heading into Pinkberry in LA.
Now that the singer is allowed to drive again, it seems that she is back to doing her daily snack runs right?
Unfortunately, she doesn't look too happy about being followed... I hope she can stay strong.

Britney Spears is buying her father a restaurant.
The ‘Toxic’ singer wants to help Jamie Spears with any funds he needs to run a new eatery once the conservatorship ends.
It's her way of saying thank you for everything he did during her dark time.
A source said:
"Britney just wanted to give him something useful as a sign of her appreciation. After all their ups and downs she knows he's always got her best interests at heart."
Who knew Jamie wanted to get into the food industry?! So many doors open up when you have unlimited money backing you. :)

Looks like Britney Spears didn't even have to leave her car yesterday afternoon when she made her daily run for some coffee. The pop princess smiled for the paps safely from inside her car while someone else took care of her order.
Less stress I am sure. We all know how crazy the photography crowd can get.
