Bronson Pinchot Amends Remarks About Former Co-Stars Tom Cruise And Denzel Washington

Remember Bronson Pinchot's less-than-flattering comments about Tom Cruise and Denzel Washington? Well, someone decided to follow-up with Bronson about his remarks. Although he declined to come to the phone to speak directly to the reporter, here are the statements he issued as "clarification."
"[I]n hindsight" Cruise's use of "homophobic language" wasn't remarkable, but "actually unremarkable."
And as for describing Denzel as "unpleasant"?
"I regret my choice of words there, and would like to amend my statement by saying I found his willingness to be ungenerous, unkind, knowingly hurtful both mentally and physically to myself and the crew to be the saddest misuse of stardom I have ever experienced or hope to experience."
All right, then! Bronson also said he was "forthcoming" about his own faults, but no one was interested in printing that.
Bronson also denied that either Tom's or Denzel's reps had contacted him regarding his comments. You have to give the guy credit: he's willing to stand by his statements!

Bronson Pinchot's Scathing Remarks About Co-Stars Tom Cruise & More

Bronson Pinchot starred alongside Tom Cruise back in the day on the movie Risky Business. In an interview this week, the actor had some pretty harsh words about his experience working with Tom. According to Popeater, Bronson shared this:
"He made constant, constant unrelated homophobic comments, like, 'You want some ice cream, in case there are no gay people there?' ... There was no basis for it. It was like, "It's a nice day, I'm glad there are no gay people standing here." Very, very strange. Years and years later when people started to torment him with that, I used to think 'God, that's really fitting, because he tormented a lot of people as a 20-year-old.'"
Pinchot adds, "If someone's 20 years old and every third line out of their mouth is anti-something specific, then draw your own conclusion."
And he said this about Denzel Washington:
"one of the most unpleasant human beings I've ever met in my life,"
Ouch! I wonder if Denzel will have any response to this?
Bronson did have a few positive things to say. One of them was about fellow actor, Tom Hanks. The two met when Bronson was in a play with Rita Hanks.
"a wonderful and genuine and lovely and down-to-earth person ... so it's not really true that big stars need to be driven and repulsive, because he's anything but."
Tom's publicist has already responded:
Obviously this is so far removed from who Tom Cruise is as a person, this must have been said in jest,"
Do you think he was joking around or do you think there's any truth to this? Maybe just another case of trying to get press by saying shocking things about celebrities who are more famous?
