Carrie Prejean Suing For Religious Discrimination
Former Miss California USA Carrie Prejean is now suing Miss California pageant officials for religious discrimination, saying they wanted her out because of her religious beliefs, according to TMZ.
Prejean just filed the suit in L.A. County Superior Court, accusing [Shanna]
Moakler and pageant honcho Keith Lewis of religious discrimination,
defamation, public disclosure of private facts, intentional infliction
of emotional distress, and negligent infliction of emotional distress.In the suit, Carrie claims officials tried to "set up Prejean to have her dismissed as Miss California USA by asking her to do a Playboy photo shoot for $120,000."
Well, you know what they say: the worst press is no press. Do you think Carrie's suit has merit?

Miss California Said She Was Fired Because Of Gay Marriage Statement
In case you somehow haven't heard yet, Donald Trump announced that he was taking away Carrie Prejean's crown for failure to honor her commitments. But, Carrie says that's not true.
"It's just because of my answer, I think. None of this would be happening right now if I just said, Yeah, gays should get married. You're right, Perez Hilton."
Hmmm, thoughts on what Carrie says? I'm sure this will be controversial but do you think that's the reason she was fired? Clearly Donald has his own reasons for the firing but could her answer have influenced his decision?

Update: Miss California Is Fired After All
Well, it looks like Shanna Moakler is about to have the last laugh! Donald Trump has reportedly told TMZ that he gave "the green light" to fire Carrie Prejean as Miss California.
Trump said: 'To me she was the sweetest thing. Everyone else -- she treated like s**t.' "
Trump also said Carrie has refused to appear at about 30 events as Miss California, despite being contractually bound to appear.
And after all that drama! What in the world is Carrie thinking???

Shanna Moakler Resigns From Miss California Pageant
Donald Trump announced yesterday that Carrie Prejean would be allowed to keep her crown as Miss California despite the semi-nude photos that have surfaced. Today, Miss California Pageant Director Shanna Moakler has resigned her post.
'Since the press conference yesterday, I had a chance to think about
what has taken place, and I feel that at this time it is in my best
interest to resign from the Miss California USA organization,' Moakler
tells Us.'I cannot with a clear conscious move forward supporting and promoting
the Miss Universe Organization when I no longer believe in it, or the
contracts I signed committing myself as a youth,' she continues. 'I
want to be a role model for young woman with high hopes of pageantry,
but now feel it more important to be a role model for my children. I am
sorry and hope I have not let any young supporters down but wish them
the best of luck in fulfilling their dreams.' "
Meanwhile, Katie Rees, who was stripped of her crown as Miss Nevada because of nude photos in 2006, is complaining of a "huge double standard."
'Semi-nude photos are semi-nude photos,' she told E! News.
'I don't know why I am the only one who was punished for their
behavior,' she said. 'I was only 19 when those photos were taken of me,
and it was me in my personal life, far before I was crowned Miss
Nevada. Carrie actually posed for these professional semi-nude photos.'I think that's worse.' "
