I love the drop of her dress, though I am sure there is a lot of tape under there to make sure of no mishaps!

Entertainer of the Year, Carrie Underwood, performed during the opening of the Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards, singing her hit song “All-American Girl” in a short, ivory beaded couture gown hand-made by Lebanese designer Jean Fares.

I never realized how much I actually like and listen to country music until I saw several of the performances from the CMAs! Most of the songs that made it on stage are already in rotation on my iPod. I need to start paying more attention to that genre! :)

Carrie Underwood Performing On American Idol With Randy Travis
I JUST LOVE HER! American Idol is taking over my LIFE. Although I am always a few days behind the rest of the world because I never watch the show on the day it airs.
Did you see Carrie Underwood and Randy Travis performing last night? She really is amazing.
And for you tri state residents, INO is going to be featured on the 10pm news this Friday. But I am told that they are going to be promoting the feature during the American Idol show TOMORROW. I am pretty sure it isn't national - only for people who are in NYC's vicinity. I haven't seen the footage yet, but I am super excited about it. :)
Carrie Underwood Covering Motley Crue For American Idol
Now those are two names you don't expect to hear together! Carrie Underwood will be doing a Motley Crue cover for the American Idol farewell theme.
Her version of Home Sweet Home will play as the contestants get sent home. A portion of sales will go to benefit the Humane Society.
Carrie released a statement saying,
"I've always loved this song. And
besides being very fitting for 'Idol,' to me, the title is also very
fitting with animal rescue and finding animals their own homes."

Stars React To Chris Brown's Apology
As you can imagine, celebrities' reaction to Chris Brown's apology run the gamut! Not unlike ours, I'd imagine. Here are some reactions.
Gayle King, Oprah Winfrey's best friend, is not having it.
Right now I can't think of anything that makes me support anything that
Chris Brown is saying at this time. And my heart just aches for Rihanna."
Dollhouse star Eliza Dushku seemed to feel the same way.
Any way, shape or form of domestic violence is inexcusable in my book."
Singer Carrie Underwood is more neutral.
I don't think anybody actually knows what happened. I have no advice
because, thank goodness, I've never been in any kind of abusive
situation. You hear a new one every five minutes, and some of them are
getting kind of ridiculous. I really hope everyone will lay off and
just let everybody who's involved figure out everything first."
I'm not sure what's ridiculous, but that's all the quote says.
Jay-Z, however, seems to be most concerned about his protege, Rihanna.
This is a real situation. You have to have compassion for others. Just
imagine it being your sister or mom and then think about how we should
talk about that. I just think we should all support her. She's going
through a tough time. You have to realize she's a young girl, as well.
She's very young."
And others are just trying to support both Chris and Rihanna during a difficult time.
