First Look: 'Robin Hood' Trailer Debuts

The first trailer for the upcoming film, Robin Hood, hit the 'net today. The movie stars Russell Crowe, Cate Blanchett, Danny Huston (The Constant Gardener) and more.

The story of an archer in the army of Richard Coeur de Lion who fights against the Norman invaders and becomes the legendary hero known as Robin Hood.

What do you think after seeing the trailer? Are you planning to see it? I'm a sucker for any project that Cate Blanchett is involved in, so I'll be seeing this. Check out the thumbnails for pictures from the filming - I LOVE the one of the guys in their medieval costumes driving the modern truck.

How Cate Blanchett Stays Grounded

How Cate Blanchett Stays Grounded

Cate Blanchett doesn't let Hollywood get to her: she stays grounded through family life with her husband, Andrew Upton, and as a mom to three boys: Dasheill (7), Roman (5), and Ignatius (19 months).

"I enjoy vacuuming," Blanchett told PEOPLE at the Giorgio Armani/Ristorante dinner party in New York City this week... "It's a very satisfying noise when you hear all that grit sucked up from the floor and into the machine."

Adds the Oscar winner: "Vacuuming is a big one for me and it's those simple things that keep my life grounded. It can be quite therapeutic!"

Raising three boys keeps her occupied, too.

"Having boys is great. It's a neat position to be in and I love the high energy that comes along in raising boys. It's fun."

She's having to juggle her parenting duties with her current role, which is acting in 'A Streetcar Named Desire' on Broadway.;

"Theater is an evening event so you can't put your kids to bed as often as you like but we seem to find a way to manage," she says. "The kids have been to New York before and they love it. We have lots of friends who've got kids and that helps. But they will come visit me at work.

She adds, "We did a show earlier in the year in Sydney and our little child actually watched the show backstage, which is a really interesting and exciting place with people putting on makeup and costumes and so they love it."

Cate seems to be managing well!

Cate Blanchett "Nervous" About Her Next Role

Cate Blanchett "Nervous" About Her Next Role

Cate Blanchett was spotted taking her sons, Dashiell and Ignatius, out for a walk on what looks like a chilly day in New York City. Maybe this walk will help her calm her nerves!

Cate's next role is playing Blanche DuBois in 'A Streetcar Named Desire' on Broadway, and the Oscar-winning actress admitted to Women's Wear Daily (WWD) that she's nervous about taking on the iconic role.

"We are bringing an American classic back to American audiences, so of course that’s nerve-wracking," Blanchett said... "It's also pretty exciting. [The audiences] are very astute, and particularly out of BAM [where the play opens Friday]."

I think Cate will be fantastic, don't you?

Cate Blanchett Feels That Her Projects Choose Her

Cate Blanchett Feels That Her Projects Choose Her

Cate Blanchett sat down with Vogue to share about topics such as her career and her relationshiop with her husband, playwright Andrew Upton .

Cate says that she's not tempted to be cautious with her career choices:

"I'm not very cautious or careful. It's always been more about having a variety of experiences than any planned trajectory...I think that in a way, projects choose you."

Cate has spent the last few years performing and directing plays in Sydney, Australia and now she is currently gearing up to play Blanche DuBois in Tennessee William's 'A Streetcar Named Desire.'

On her relationship with her husband and the time they spend together in the theater:

"We do live in each others' pockets a bit, but that feels natural. It doesn't feel cramped in there at all."

On the benefits that working regular hours has given their three boys:

'There are so few experiences in our manicured, nanny-stated existence that have the quality of circus. Theater still does." And so, when the boys aren't playing with friends, they can usually be found playing backstage. "They're always engaged in the family business, so to speak.'"

Cate's next movie is Robin Hood, due out in May of 2010 and it co-stars Russell Crowe. I look forward to everything she is in. Is she one of your favorites, too?

Cate Blanchett Suffers Head Injury During A Live Performance

Cate Blanchett Suffers Head Injury During A Live Performance

Oh my goodness! Cate Blanchett was performing onstage in an Australian production of 'A Streetcar Named Desire' when she was hit in the head by a prop.

"There was a minor incident on stage that unfortunately did injure
Cate," he said. "...There was a moment when another actor lifted the prop
above his head and she somehow sustained a minor blow to the head."

Cate reportedly wasn't taken to the hospital, although it sounds like it wasn't minor, according to an eyewitness account.

An audience member tells the Sydney Morning Herald that "she had blood streaming down the back of her head and blood on the back of her neck."

"She acted for about another 30 seconds, then ran into what we thought
was the next scene, but before we knew it the lights were turned on and
we were told there were technical difficulties and everyone had to
evacuate the Sydney Theatre Company."

Although they stopped last night's performance, a theatre spokesman said Cate is expected back onstage tonight. Sounds scary, but I'm glad it wasn't more serious!

Cate Blanchett In In Style Magazine

Cate Blanchett In In Style Magazine

Today's a big day for celebrity magazine spreads! We just saw Jessica Szohr in Men's Health and now here's Cate Blanchett doing InStyle.

She looks absolutely STUNNING! Really though, this woman can do no wrong. Cate would look gorgeous in a paper bag so it's not as if the stylist for the photo shoot had their work cut out for them, right?

How do we feel about the all-leather skirt/suit outfit? Something you'd wear to work every day right?  :)

ONTD.

Celebrities On Stamps?

Celebrities On Stamps?

Oscar-winners Nicole Kidman, Cate Blanchett, Geoffrey Rush and Russell Crowe are all currently featured on special-edition 55-cent stamps in Australia. The stamps show the actors in their most famous roles, and as themselves out of character.

"Something like this - when you see your face on a stamp - says 'wow,' " Kidman said about the honor.

What do you think about this idea? Would you buy a stamp if it had your favorite celebrity on it?
