Lady Gaga Says Grace Jones Is Her Inspiration
Fuse, Madison Square Garden’s national music television network, is getting up close and personal with today’s top artists in its new one-on-one interview series “On The Record with Fuse.” Their latest victim... Lady GAGA!
Viewers can catch the singer on November 23 at 9pm ET as she sits down to chat about her upcoming tour, her fans and androgyny in women.
On the song PokerFace:
“Well that song was about fantasizing about women when I was in bed with my ex-boyfriend so I didn’t really want him to know because it bothered him, but I couldn’t help myself. And it was me struggling with my sexuality and my, not struggling with I should say, enjoying, celebrating and that was the inspiration behind the song.”
On Androgyny:
“Grace (Jones) is such an inspiration to me, which is why with all the rumors that have flown around over the year, I was always excited because the androgyny of the woman. It’s this kind of fascinating thing that nobody understands or wants to understand unless you’re in the beautiful subculture that is my fans and the gay community.”
On calling her fans “Monsters”:
“I see myself in my fans, and they see themselves in me. I felt like a freak for so long, in school, growing up, you know I wore a uniform, but when I went home I used to put makeup on in the house and I used to sleep with my makeup on. My mother used to say, ‘Where the hell are you going kid?’ And I’d say ‘Well, what do you think of Marilyn today? Or I did Judy Garland today, mom.’ It was my way of expressing myself, so I think that the kids in the audience, they feel like freaks too.”
On her Monster Ball tour:
“There’s a theme of evolution and change. So I begin as a cell and grow throughout the show. Tremendously innovative choreography. Insane fashion installations. It’s of course in the vein of what my aesthetic has become which is the work is always in some sense half performance art, half installation. So it’s both. And we’re doing things that have never been done before. And I’m playing all the music from The Fame, and all of the music from The Fame Monster and I’ve been telling my fans it’s a giant post-apocalyptic house party.”

Oprah Explains Her Exit While OWN Launch Is Announced
Oprah Winfrey explained why she was ending 'The Oprah Winfrey Show' on September 9, 2011.
"Twenty-five years feels right in my bones and feels right in my spirit," she said.
"I certainly never could have imagined the yellow brick road of blessings that have led me to this moment," she said.
"Over this holiday break, my team and I will be brainstorming new ways that we can entertain you and inform you and uplift you when we return here in January," she said. "And then, season 25 -- we are going to knock your socks off."
According to Nikki Finke, who broke the news about this announcement approximately two weeks ago, Oprah is ready to leave Chicago and move to Los Angeles. However, Oprah reportedly told CBS President Les Moonves she would not be moving her talk show to her cable network, OWN (Oprah Winfrey Network).
"I just announced it to my team and I feel great about it," sources tell me Winfrey said to Moonves.
"So you're going to do the show on Discovery?" he asked.
"No," Oprah assured him. "I'm not bringing The Oprah Winfrey Show to cable. I'll do something else with that channel."[M]y sources say that, instead of a carbon copy of her longtime daytime talker, she's now privately talking about hosting a show "that's smaller and different" on the Discovery Communications start-up OWN, aka the Oprah Winfrey Network...
Hmmm... maybe that's what Lisa Ling means when she warned Entertainment Tonight not to "count her out." On one hand, this is the end of an era, but then I realize that this won't happen for nearly two years (about 22 months).
Meanwhile, Discovery announced that OWN will debut in January 2011, eight months before Oprah's show ends. Are you interested in seeing what that's all about?

Nicole Kidman Isn't THAT Wild
In an interview with GQ magazine, Nicole Kidman was quoted as saying she was into "strange sexual fetish stuff." Now Nicole says her words were taken out of context.
"That's what I said in relation to my work. They left that part out. In terms of my work, yeah, I'm interested in exploring love, and so that comes in all different forms… In terms of my private life, I'd never reveal what I've explored in my private life."
Now that sounds more like the Nicole I know- keeping her private life private. Although it still sounds like a rather strange thing to say. Maybe she felt pressured to give an attention-getting quote?

Peter Facinelli reminds us that Robert Pattinson and Kellan Lutz aren't the only hot vampires in the 'Twilight' series! He opened up to Women's Health about the appeal of vampires, bizarre encounters with 'Twilight' fans, and some advice for women.
Why are women obsessed with vampires?
"The hunger of wanting something so much that you can taste them is very intimate, beautiful, and romantic. It's a metaphor [for sex]."
What are some bizarre encounters with 'Twilight' fans?
"…People always come up to me and say, 'Oh my God, you're Carlisle—can you give this letter to Rob?' I've become the pony express to Rob Pattinson, but I've yet to get one letter from [him]. Maybe he's hoarding them."
What is a woman's most seductive asset?
"Lips are sexy. They're a tool for communication but also a tool for kissing. They're sexy both visually and intellectually."
And finally... what's the number one mistake women make in relationships?
"When women like men, they want to show them. But if they're always in the guy's space…it can be smothering, and the guy withdraws. You have to leave a man always wanting more."

Leona Lewis Says She Is 'A Next Door Diva'
Leona Lewis says she is a “good diva”. The British singer, who has a reputation for being one of the nicest people in pop, says she only has the good characteristics of a diva – which includes having a big voice.
“The term ‘diva’ has such a negative connotation, but I see myself as a kind of good diva. I’m a next-door diva.”
Leona insists she doesn’t make extravagant demands or make expensive purchases like many of her pop star contemporaries. In an interview with Petra magazine, Leona said:
“The biggest things I’ve bought are a house and my two cars. One of the cars is a Mini Cooper. But in Los Angeles I always drive a Hybrid Toyota Prius which is very environmentally friendly.”

Eva Longoria Says She Only Has Sex On The Weekends
As usual, ‘Desperate Housewives’ star Eva Longoria has no problem revealing intimate details about her sex life. The actress admits she and husband Tony Parker can only get intimate on the weekends because of her filming schedule in Hollywood and his commitments to his basketball team the San Antonio Spurs, who are based in Texas. She told Joy magazine:
“I work three to four days per week. And then I fly to Texas to spend a long weekend with Tony. So we only have sex during the weekend.”
The 34-year-old actress also has set up her own production company and owns a restaurant Beso and admits she hates not being busy.
“I can never sit still and must always be doing something. I founded my own production company. We have already developed three TV shows and are currently working on two film projects. At the same time Tony and I are building a house in San Antonio and this takes a very long time. Luckily, I inherited my mother's multi-tasking gene. But you have to set priorities!”
Despite her hectic life, Eva is happy being a wife and does anything she can to please Tony.
“I love being married. I’m part of something bigger and more important now. The marriage gives me so much more than my job. Tony and I feel incredibly connected. I love being a housewife. It’s great fun. I cook, clean and sew. I even wash Tony's laundry.”
I wonder if more marriages would flourish if the couple only spent time together on the weekend. Just saying...

Rihanna says size matters. The ‘Umbrella’ singer – who has been single since Chris Brown assaulted her in February – is ready to date again but isn’t interested in suitors who don't measure up in the bedroom.
When asked what a guy needed to impress her, she told German magazine Bravo:
“He has to be good in bed and the size matters. You know what I mean? The inner beauty counts as well, but without a toy it doesn’t make it fun. Right now I don’t want to have a serious relationship, I want to have fun.”
Although she is on the look-out for a guy, Rihanna is careful about who she gives her number to.
“I love flirting at the moment. I’m single and I’m enjoying my freedom. But I don´t give my phone number out that often. But if I’m dating, I check the boy from the top to the bottom.”
I think she's feeling a little frisky lately eh?
One guy Rihanna has her eye is ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ actor Jesse Williams – who plays her love interest in the video for ‘Russian Roulette’. The 21-year-old star revealed:
“Jesse, who’s in my music video for ‘Russian Roulette’, is soooo hot!”
Well, at least the girl is honest. Wonder if her statement is going to intimidate guys?
