Celine Dion's Husband Opens Up Their Struggles With IVF
Celine Dion has vowed to keep trying for another baby.
The 41-year-old singer and her husband Rene Angelil, 67, were told by doctors in August she was pregnant after undergoing a course of in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatment, but days later were told it hadn’t worked.
Despite more subsequent attempts at the treatment, Celine and Rene are refusing to give up hope of having a sibling for eight-year-old son Rene-Charles. Rene said:
“Dr. Zev Rosenwaks believed that the procedure/pregnancy took, but that wasn’t the case. We found out some days later. We were shocked.
”We are living the reality of the majority of couples who have to use IVF. The process can be long and arduous.
“But today, we are full of confidence. Celine is more determined than ever. She doesn’t let go.”
The couple – who conceived Rene-Charles after fertility treatment – are now preparing for another course of treatment in New York this weekend. Rene added to Canada’s Journal de Montreal newspaper:
“I admire all the women who go through such a tough process. Since April, she has undergone numerous examinations, multiple hormone injections and blood tests.
“Celine and I didn’t get discouraged … we put our faith in life and in the stars.”
I wish them success. I know several people who have gone through the process and it is a trying one.

Doctor Confirms Celine Dion Is Pregnant
Celine Dion got pregnant from an embryo frozen eight years ago.
The ‘Think Twice’ singer – who is expecting her second child with husband Rene Angelil – conceived the baby through in vitro fertilization (IVF), using a fertilized egg she had harvested when she was trying to conceive her first son Rene-Charles in 2001.
Celine decided to start trying for another baby in 2007 after she completed her residency in Las Vegas and consulted her physician Dr. Zev Rosenwaks.
He said:
"She came back to have the embryos transferred back because she wanted to have another baby."
Although Celine, 41, is still in the early stages of her pregnancy, Rosenwaks says she is doing very well.
He revealed:
"She is feeling well. So far, so good. I look forward to hearing the fetal heartbeat. Rene and Celine are both looking forward to a pregnancy that is a healthy one. There is no question she is ecstatic."

Report: Celine Dion Pregnant With Second Child
Is Celine Dion pregnant with her second child? Ok! Magazine and The Montreal Gazette are both reporting that the singer is expecting. Rumor has it the couple went to a fertility doctor for a little help with the process.
The Montreal Gazette reports that Celine, 41, and Rene, 67, became pregnant with the help of a team of fertility doctors in NYC. The couple have yet to officially confirm the news on Celine’s official web site.
No rep confirmation at the moment. Celine's first child René-Charles was born in 2001.

Celine Dion Ready To Try For Second Baby
Looks like Celine Dion it ready to expand her family. The 40 year old singer and her husband
Rene Angelil are going to try for another child as soon as Celine's Taking Chances World tour comes to an end.
"We are going to give it a try after my tour. Hopefully we are pregnant
again.
"I have a small window of hope. But we have been so blessed already. We
tried six years for Rene Charles. We have our miracle baby."
This will be their second child. The couple already shares Rene-Charles, who was born in 2001 after undergoing fertility treatments.
