Charlize Theron Has Found True Happiness With Stuart Townsend
Charlize Theron says being with longtime boyfriend Stuart Townsend has finally put her in a place where she can breathe easy.
In an interview with Marie Claire magazine, the 33-year-old actress says her life has completely changed thanks to their solid relationship.
"Since I've been with Stuart, my
vulnerability has become something I'm more comfortable with. I think
there's a part of me that is very much a survivor. I don't know if it was in
my genes, I don't know what it is. But I guess being young and starting out
in a sense of, 'I'm not going to be a wallflower, and I'm not going to be
messed with.' That was the only way I knew how to
survive at that time."But all that has changed since I've been with Stuart. I don't feel like I'm
in survival mode any more. I feel like it's OK, I can breathe, so I'm very
grateful to him."
What a WONDERFUL thing to say about someone!
And naturally... an interview with a 30+ year old in Hollywood just isn't complete without the "baby" question.
"I've always known that I wanted to be a mom. I love
children. I've always loved children. But I'm not like, 'Oh my god, I really
must have kids right now.' I've never felt this pressing urge that some
biological clock is ticking. We both want to be parents one day, but I've no
idea
when that will be."
8 years together in Hollywood is a pretty substantial time. Charlize and Stuart stay really low key - perhaps that has something to do with it.

Charlize Theron Wants To Move On From Death Of Her Father
Charlize Theron's father came home drunk one night when she was a teen, had a gun and threatened to kill her and her mother. So her mom shot him in self-defense. This is a pretty commonly known story and it's not talked about much anymore. But, I guess the emotional trauma of Charlize's character in her new movie has reporters bringing up the subject again.
For me this thing happened so long ago and I just really wish people
could move on from it. I don't live in the past. When I read headlines
about me saying "When she was 15 her mother shot her father" it's very
sensational for me.'It happened 18 years ago. Since then I've
had a complete, full life and, my God, if I've been living the past 18
years in the past because of one event that happened in my life someone
should put a gun to my head and put me out of my misery because that's
a waste of my life. I am 33 and I have had a much bigger life than that
one event.
She adds,
Everything changed for me the day my father died. Years ago I used to cover it all up and say he died in a car accident. 'I
have now come to terms with it and have been able to move on. This was
so long ago in my life and my life, my emotions and the pain are not
stuck in this one event.
Charlize's newest movie, the Burning Plain, is being released today, I think. Anyone plan on going to see it this weekend?
Charlize Theron Is Ready To Learn A New Language
Charlize Theron is officially inspired! The actress wants to learn how to speak Spanish and the 33 year old is ready to start taking lessons.
While working with Mexican director Guillermo Arriaga on The
Burning Plain, she picked up a few phrases... but the bad ones.
"Of course he taught me the dirty stuff!
I had this fantasy, ‘cos I’ve always wanted to learn Spanish, that I would learn Spanish before I shot the movie with him, that he would be really impressed with me, that he could direct me in Spanish but of course it never happened"
Charlize thinks that since she lives in California, she might as well pick up the language and is upset she hasn't done so in the past eight years.
"I’m really embarrassed to say that I don’t speak Spanish, I’ve lived in California for eight years and I just think it should be a prerequisite, you should be able to speak Spanish if you live in California."
I have Rosetta Stone for Italian which I have been utterly neglecting the last few months. But I too think it's a wonderful thing to pick up a new language. I was afraid to start since I am in my 30s, but I let go of the excuse and have started to give it a go.
Any INO readers start trying to learn a new language as an adult? After college I mean. What methods worked best for you?

Charlize Theron Ready For A Comedy Or Musical
No more "doom and gloom" for Charlize Theron. The actress is tired of the type of roles that always seem to get thrown at her. She is looking to walk down a different avenue these days and is hoping for either a comedy or a musical. I would love to see her in either!
"I’m starting to figure that if there’s a woman in a ‘doom and gloom’ scenario, my name comes up… the next one has to be a comedy."
I’ve always let it be known that I would love to do a musical. I love going to ballet, it’s very cathartic."
What do you think about the musical? I grew up watching them with my grandmother. Do you hope they make a big comeback in the theatre?

Charlize Theron looked like a goddess in a gold dress and sky high black stilettos as she walked the red carpet for the premiere of her movie, "The Burning Plain" in Paris last night. Charlize is drop dead gorgeous and really knows how to play around with fashion AND still look sexy at the same time.
What do you think of her dress? How about those gorgeous shoes?!
She's been keeping very busy. Perhaps that's why we haven't seen her too much these days. The Burning Plan is the first of 5 movies registered on IMDB.
A drama with a two-tiered storyline concerning a mother (Basinger) and
daughter (Theron) who try to form a bond after the young woman's
difficult childhood.

The gorgeous and talented Charlize Theron was spotted arriving to LAX yesterday getting on a flight to Paris. Yeah, that's what I did yesterday - only it wasn't a plane - it was a car ride to Astoria, Queens. Same thing right?
I've always liked Charlize's style because it's fashionable and chic, but not over the top or in your face. For instance, she's wearing a pair of skinny jeans, white top, simple black blazer and then kicked it up a notch with greige (grey and beige) peep toe booties. How fierce are those shoes?!
You KNOW she brought a change of shoes for that trip! LAX to Paris! Oy vey - that's a long one.
