Christie Brinkley And Ex-Husband Want Each Other Arrested?
According to Popeater, Christie Brinkley and her ex-husband, Peter Cook, are STILL not on very good terms. In fact, the two were trying to have each other arrested at a recent court hearing!
Popeater reports:
Peter was accusing Christie of trying to ruin his relationship with his children and that he's trying to move on and wishes she'd do the same.
Also, he's claims that:
Brinkley refused to turn over son Jack's passport in a timely fashion, which caused him to miss a school trip to Israel that was supposed to be chaperoned by Cook.
But Christie's lawyers disagree with his claims, stating:
Brinkley's lawyer Peter Caronia calls Cook's claims "without merit and totally disingenuous," saying that Brinkley was late in handing the passport over because of the death of a friend's mother and Cook's refusal to pick it up himself.
Cook asked for Brinkley to be imprisoned and forced to take anger management classes, and also wants additional child visitation rights. Brinkley claims that Cook is in the wrong for talking about their case on talk shows and also letting his new girlfriend to spend time with their children. She also wants Cook jailed, and asked for reimbursement of legal fees and to be paid from the sale of the couple's old boat.
These two have been split up since 2005 and their divorce has been final for over a year now - it's sad that they are still battling it out.

Alexa Ray Joel Is Still A Romantic
After supporting her mother Christie Brinkley through a difficult divorce last year, Alexa Ray Joel is now lending support to her father, Billy Joel, who is separating from his wife of five years, Katie Lee Joel. Alexa Ray told Us Weekly she "wasn't surprised" when her father told her about the split.
'I have a pretty good women's intuition, so I can tell,' she said. 'I know my dad pretty well, so I’m behind him.' "
So after seeing her parents struggle with marriages, what are Alexa Ray's thoughts on marriage for herself?
'I am a true romantic - I would love to get married,' Alexa Ray told Us. 'The government doesn't necessarily have to get involved. You can just
celebrate your life and have a wedding and have it big and fabulous and
not necessarily complicated, with the papers and all that. Having seen
what I've seen, I'll be skeptical, sure, but I will be having a
wedding.' "
Given what she's seen her parents go through, I'm not surprised Alexa Ray has this outlook!

Christie Brinkley Says Enough Is Enough
... as far as marriage is concerned. Christie Brinkley has been married four times, and after the last marriage ended in a headline-making divorce from Peter Cook (who reportedly had an affair with his then-18-year-old assistant), Christie has declared she will not get married againin her interview with Ladies Home Journal.
'I would never get married again,' she says firmly. 'With what I know I
don't see why anyone would get married.' Which is not to say she is not
a romantic. 'I totally believe in true love. And I think couples should
celebrate their love over and over again.' But, she adds, they needn't
formalize it. 'In fact, right at the beginning of a relationship, I
would formalize an exit strategy.' "
Given what she's been through, I can understand her feelings!
I feel like I should apologize to everybody for them having to read all
of that tawdry stuff, and having it delivered to their kitchen tables
when their kids are around, you know?"
Christie also made it clear in the interview that she did not chose to have the divorce publicized. She said in New York, divorce cases are public proceedings.

Christie Brinkley Takes Out Restraining Order On Ex-Husband
UGH. This whole thing has gotten SO messy. I really feel bad for their children going through this right now. Christie Brinkley has just filed for a restraining order and a "motion for post-judgment relief," against her ex-husband Peter Cook.
Their divorce only recently became final, and now Peter wants to tell his side of the story. He did an interview on 20/20...here's a quote from his chat with Diane Sawyer.
Cook, 49, who has admitted to having an affair with an 18-year-old
assistant and an online pornography habit, told Walters during his
interview for Friday night's 20/20 broadcast, "I'm not the ... pervert that I've been painted to be."
While nobody likes to be painted as the bad guy, that's what tends to happen when you cheat on your wife. I wonder if doing this interview is going to change anybody's public perception of Peter.

Helen Mirren, Christie Brinkely, and Molly Sims arrived to the opening night of The Metropolitan Opera wearing mermaid style gowns though each had a different take on the trend. Mermaid style is SO IN this season. I never thought twice about the style until my best friend got married in onelast year. Now, since it's on my radar, I don't go a day without finding a set which includes a woman in this type of gown.
The always fabulous Parker Posey also attended the event , but choose a completely different style. Does it work?
