After supporting her mother Christie Brinkley through a difficult divorce last year, Alexa Ray Joel is now lending support to her father, Billy Joel, who is separating from his wife of five years, Katie Lee Joel. Alexa Ray told Us Weekly she "wasn't surprised" when her father told her about the split.

'I have a pretty good women's intuition, so I can tell,' she said. 'I know my dad pretty well, so I’m behind him.' "

So after seeing her parents struggle with marriages, what are Alexa Ray's thoughts on marriage for herself?

'I am a true romantic - I would love to get married,' Alexa Ray told Us. 'The government doesn't necessarily have to get involved. You can just celebrate your life and have a wedding and have it big and fabulous and not necessarily complicated, with the papers and all that. Having seen what I've seen, I'll be skeptical, sure, but I will be having a wedding.' "

Given what she's seen her parents go through, I'm not surprised Alexa Ray has this outlook!

'I would never get married again,' she says firmly. 'With what I know I don't see why anyone would get married.' Which is not to say she is not a romantic. 'I totally believe in true love. And I think couples should celebrate their love over and over again.' But, she adds, they needn't formalize it. 'In fact, right at the beginning of a relationship, I would formalize an exit strategy.' "

Given what she's been through, I can understand her feelings!

I feel like I should apologize to everybody for them having to read all of that tawdry stuff, and having it delivered to their kitchen tables when their kids are around, you know?"

Christie also made it clear in the interview that she did not chose to have the divorce publicized. She said in New York, divorce cases are public proceedings.

UGH.  This whole thing has gotten SO messy.  I really feel bad for their children going through this right now.  Christie Brinkley has just filed for a restraining order and a "motion for post-judgment relief," against her ex-husband Peter Cook.

Their divorce only recently became final, and now Peter wants to tell his side of the story.  He did an interview on 20/20...here's a quote from his chat with Diane Sawyer.

Cook, 49, who has admitted to having an affair with an 18-year-old assistant and an online pornography habit, told Walters during his interview for Friday night's 20/20 broadcast, "I'm not the ... pervert that I've been painted to be."

While nobody likes to be painted as the bad guy, that's what tends to happen when you cheat on your wife. I wonder if doing this interview is going to change anybody's public perception of Peter.

This is so funny. Christie Brinkley attended a charity event and during an interview she admitted that she was excited to see the first pictures of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's new family additions!

"I'm sure that these two, with that perfect genetic recipe are going to just continue to add to this enormously beautiful family."

And when asked about jumping back into the dating scene, Christie said that won't happen anytime soon.

"I'm not going to get into that, I learned my lesson."

I've always wondered if celebrities get excited to see the first pictures of other celebrities' babies and weddings etc. Can you imagine someone like J-Lo sitting at home telling Marc he needs to run out and pick up the new People because she wants to see what Angelina's twins look like?!? That would be wild! :P

"The day my world was completely shattered," is how Christie Brinkley referred to the moment she found out her husband was cheating on her with an young girl. Christie learned of the affair when the girl's father said Peter Cook, her husband, wouldn't leave 18 year old Diana Bianchi alone.

"I turned to look at Peter. His face was so tense ... he was saying, 'No,' " Brinkley told the court, reenacting how Cook, 49, was shaking his head.

"I thought 'Oh my god. It's true. He did it.' I knew from his face. It explained the feelings I'd been trying not to feel."

"I saw little Jack's face looking at his dad, the man and me," she said referring to her son, who was with them. "I thought, 'I am going to pass out.'"

Christy also testified about Peter's internet porn habit and how he offered to pay girls and take them shopping just so he could see their faces. But Peter shot back saying,

"Shrek was more believable than that."

She left Peter immediately,

"I drove away from my perfect life," she said, choking back tears. "I thought I had the picket fence. I thought we were happy."

If this is all true, how very, very sad.

Christie Brinkley just turned 54 this February and you wouldn't know that looking at her. She's such a gorgeous woman and remains a very natural looking beauty. She's pictured leaving a medical center in Beverly Hills and later helping her parents into their apartment. Could she be any sweeter?WENN

Christie Brinkley shows us all why she was one of the world's most famous supermodels....she looks gorgeous doing ANYTHING! From playing softball to glamming it up for a red carpet event, she always looks beautiful! In these photos she is shown at the Annual Artist and Writers Softball Game. Then on the same day she attended the premiere of The Good Night which was written and director by Gwyneth's brother Jake Paltrow.

A variety of celebrities attended the Billy Joel concert at the Hampton Social at Ross in East Hampton New York over the weekend. Edie Falco, Kelly Ripa, Mark Consuelos, Christie Brinkley, Mary Kate Olsen, Renee Zellweger and Adam Sandler to name a few.  Edie looks a bit under-dressed. Or perhaps Kelly is a bit over-dressed? It's nice to see Christie and Billy keeping it civil.
