Cindy Crawford And Husband Victims In Extortion Case
Cindy Crawford and her husband, Rande Gerber are the victims in a plot to extort $100,000 from the family. The plot involves a photograph of their 7 year old daughter that was taken by the nanny during a game of "cops and robbers". An acquaintance of the nanny then threatened to release the photo.
The photo shows the child "in revealing clothing, bound to a chair and gagged," say the documents.
It's pretty disgusting the way an innocent child's game can be twisted into something more.
He has been identified as Edis Kayalar, 26, a recent deportee to Germany now believed to be in Stuttgart, according to officials. Authorities say that even after his deportation Kayalar continued to demand $100,000 – or he would release the photo to the media.
Cindy's rep released this statement:
"Rande Gerber and Cindy Crawford intend to pursue any and all available legal action against anyone who aids the perpetrator in the distribution or sale of the photograph of their daughter."
What a nightmare for their family. Hopefully this gets resolved and the picture doesn't surface.

Cindy Crawford Wouldn't Make It As A Supermodel Today
This is according to Cindy Crawford herself. In an interview with a German magazine, Cindy said that her body would not be accepted in the current modeling market, so if she were starting out as a model today, she wouldn't be successful.
"I would not have become a supermodel in 2009," she told Germany’s Bunte magazine, "I look too healthy."
According to the mom-of-two, "a body like mine with big breasts, normal thighs and toned upper arms" is no longer what the industry is looking for.
However, Cindy said she appreciates her body.
"That's why I like being in my 40s so much," says Cindy, "being at peace with yourself, knowing about your strengths beyond being pretty."
I always thought Cindy was considered an exception; the waif-like look in models became popular in the sixties with Twiggy, so it's certainly nothing new. Do models seem smaller today than they were in the '90s?

Cindy Crawford can still rock the runway at 43, but this world-class beauty/entrepreneur knows that aging gracefully as a Supermodel isn't as easy as it seems. Crawford, who is launching her JCPenney home collection next month, graces the September cover of REDBOOK and inside, poses for intimate photos with husband Rande Gerber at their Malibu, CA home. In the interview, she opens up about cellulite, the pressure of being an aging Supermodel, and what she does on date nights with Rande .
On cellulite: "I have cellulite," she says, laughing. "I admit it. But sometimes I just say, 'Screw it, I am going to wear a bikini.'"
On the pressures of aging: "I think I look good for my age. I am not 25; I am 43. That feels like a big pressure, especially when the National Enquirer is dying to get a picture. I am so aware that I don't want to change the way I live because of that kind of attention. So you say, 'Screw it. I am wearing a bikini, and I am not putting on a cover-up.' You just brace yourself for a bad picture."
On being Cindy Crawford: "People get excited that they're meeting the Cindy Crawford from the Playboy spread 13 years ago, and I am a mother of two now. I have to check in with myself. It's good to have an awareness of the outside pressure; I can't let it get to my core. I love my life."
