Clive Owen Struggles With Balancing Family And Work Committments
Clive Owen finds it a struggle to balance his work and family life. The ‘Boys Are Back’ actor spends as much time as possible with his daughters Hannah, 12, and Eve, 10, but they are always upset by the irregularity of his working life.
“No matter how much time I spend at home, there’s always this thing underneath - that there’s a possibility I might disappear again and do a movie.
“Whereas most fathers, even if they’re not around that much, there’s a regular routine.”
In his latest role, Clive portrays a widower, Joe Warr, who has to raise his two sons alone after his wife dies of cancer, but the 45-year-old insists his parenting style doesn’t match Joe’s.
Referring to his character, Clive – who raises his children with wife Sarah-Jane Fenton - said:
“It was a radical approach. They were thrown in this awful situation and he has to come up with a way to get through it. But I’m not at all as crazy and loose as that. Although I think there is an element of that to most fathers.
“I’d say we sometimes are too structured in the way that we do things and that it is important to keep loose and go with the flow a bit with children.”

Clive Owen Doesn't Mind Helping Out With Household Chores
Clive Owen doesn't mind doing housework. The British actor has two daughters, Hannah and Eve, with wife Sarah-Jane Fenton, and is happy to help out with household tasks.
Clive - who plays a single father in new film 'The Boys Are Back' - said:
"It didn't take a lot on my part to do laundry for a scene in my new movie because I'm a dad. I can do the laundry at my own house and I think nothing of throwing in a load.
"The truth is I'm perfectly fine around the house. I do dishes. I clean counters. I do everything. I'm a good guy to have around the house."
Despite being a movie star, Clive says his priority will always be his family. The 44-year-old star added to the Chicago Sun-Times newspaper:
"I'm a parent, and my girls are such a huge part of my life. I go off to do my movies and then come home and look after my girls."
The 'Closer' star recently said his loved ones help keep him grounded.
"I've got actor friends who didn't get breaks, who struggle and worry about things that I'm fortunate not to have to worry about. I don't take anything for granted. If it stopped now, I'd go, 'Clive, you had a good run there.' "
Handsome, talented and is capable of doing a load of laundry... I think I just fell in love. :)

On recent scripts: They are not very good. And these are films that are funded and ready to go expensive movies. You're amazed that people are funding them. I start to think it's me that I'm being too choosy.
On living a normal life: Im quite good at getting on with my thing. I feel I'm pretty nifty; I can spot trouble coming.
On reconnecting with his father: It was a very bizarre experience, looking at someone you've never known and going, Oh my God, that's my father.

Clive Owen looked oh so handsome in a black tailored suit as he walked the red carpet for the premiere of his new movie, "Duplicity" in New York last night. His co-star, the equally lovely, Julia Roberts wore a black and white floral dress and satin coat to keep her warm.

Julia Roberts On Her Chemistry With Clive Owen And Love Scenes
Julia Roberts sat down with E! Daily 10 to talk about her new film, Duplicity. She also talked about working with co-star Clive Owen, why they go well together on-screen, and her attitude about love scenes.
It’s energy, chemistry is energy, right? Like we have chemistry. I’m being serious. I do think it’s energy, so Clive and I have similar sense of humor and that translates itself when you try to package it as sexual or romantic. It’s the same thing."
I never thought of chemistry between co-stars like this, but it makes sense, doesn't it?
As for doing love scenes in general...
Oh I try to avoid it at every turn. I’ve kissed through sheets 'cause I just think it’s bizarre.'
Roberts continues: 'People go 'Oh is it sexy?' What is sexy about 60 people standing there going, 'Is it lunch yet?' "

Clive Owen At The Jameson International Film Festival
Sexy Clive Owen was once again rocking a suit as he attended the Jameson Film Festival in Dublin, Ireland yesterday. The actor was asked to respond to all the attention he gets for his good looks and demeanor. Clive said he just doesn't take it seriously.
“Any actor who starts taking the tag ’sex symbol’ seriously or thinks of themselves as a sex symbol has got some serious problems. When I’m in my normal life I care very little about how I look. Sometimes I have to dress up when I’m making movies, but that’s not me when I’m just hanging around.”
Good thing for us there are a ton of events he needs to go to! Is it just me or are there a TON of film festivals? It's a wonder these celebrities ever have a chance to rest considering they are flying from one part of the world to another to promote their films.
Did anyone see Clive's new film,"The International"? I plan on watching especially since my favorite actress Naomi Watts is in it!
