ENTER TO WIN: $100 Visa Gift Card From Doritos’ Crash The Super Bowl Contest!

In one of the most highly anticipated Super Bowl announcements of the year, Doritos revealed the details for this year’s Crash the Super Bowl contest. Following six previous contests, $5 million in prize money awarded and three No. 1 USA TODAY Ad Meter rankings, the Doritos brand is doing the unthinkable for the seventh anniversary of the program — raising the stakes higher than ever before.

In a message direct to fans via webcast, acclaimed Hollywood film director Michael Bay and the Doritos brand announced the biggest, boldest contest grand prize to date: an opportunity to work with Bay on the next installment of the “Transformers” movie franchise, along with a shot at a $1 million bonus. From Paramount Pictures and Hasbro, the next installment in the hit series will be released on June 27, 2014. The webcast is now archived on the Doritos Facebook Page (www.facebook.com/DoritosUSA) — the main hub of this year’s contest.

As in previous years, the Crash the Super Bowl contest invites consumers to create homemade ads for the Doritos brand, with two finalist consumer-created spots ultimately airing during the Super Bowl broadcast. One of those ads will be selected by America’s votes; the other by the Doritos brand team.

For the first time in Crash the Super Bowl history, the contest will be run from a Crash the Super Bowl-branded app on the Doritos Facebook Page (www.crashthesuperbowl.com or https://apps.facebook.com/crashthesuperbowl/). There, participants can upload their :30 homemade commercials from Oct. 8, 2012 to Nov. 16, 2012.

New to this year’s contest, the app will feature a “Pitch In” collaboration tool that allows fans from all walks of life to interact with each other and assist with the creation of Crash the Super Bowl entries by requesting or offering up props, talent and other items contestants need to create their potentially winning ads. Now, anyone from any background can play a role in the creation of the next great Doritos masterpiece.

Five finalist ads will be announced in January 2013. Then it will be up to fans to vote for their favorite consumer-created ad. Each of the five finalists will win $25,000 and a trip to New Orleans to attend Super Bowl XLVII in a private luxury suite at the game, where they will tune in to learn for the first time which consumer ads will compete for the top spot in the USA TODAY Ad Meter before a worldwide audience. Bonus prizing will be awarded, based on how each ad ranks on the USA TODAY Ad Meter:

  • $1 million will be awarded for an ad that scores the No. 1 spot on the USA TODAY Ad Meter
  • $600,000 will be awarded for an ad that scores the No. 2 two spot on the USA TODAY Ad Meter
  • $400,000 will be awarded for an ad that scores the No. 3 spot on the USA TODAY Ad Meter

Keep up with all things Doritos:

ENTER TO WIN: $100 Visa Gift Card and Prize Pack From For A Good Time, Call… Movie

Love and friendship are on the line in For a Good Time, Call…, directed by Jamie Travis from an original screenplay by Katie Anne Naylon & Lauren Anne Miller. The contemporary comedy world-premiered at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival, lifting audiences to their feet and lifting their spirits. Ms. Miller stars in the movie opposite Ari Graynor (The SitterNick & Norah’s Infinite Playlist).

Two young women come up short on the funds needed to live in New York City. Lauren Powell (played by Ms. Miller), a reserved overachiever, is suddenly on her own after boyfriend Charlie (James Wolk) abruptly breaks up with her. Katie Steele (Ms. Graynor), an irrepressible free spirit, is about to forfeit a dream residence unless she finds an apartment-mate.

Their mutual best friend Jesse (Justin Long) has the bright idea that they room together, even though he well knows that they are polar opposites who haven’t spoken since they met in college and then fell out within minutes. When Lauren and Katie meet up anew at Jesse’s behest, they’re still an at-odds couple…

…but, without options, Lauren reluctantly moves in. With nothing in common, she and Katie barely speak – until Lauren discovers that Katie is working as a phone-sex operator. This is, Lauren reasons, a good business opportunity; together, they will buy a land line and start up their own answering service.

Katie is – it would seem – already in her element, and Lauren catches on quick; it’s not long before the blushing subsides and the candid chatting becomes second nature to her. It’s a long, hot summer for the newly minted team and their callers; Lauren puts her job hunt on hold while Katie considers the courtship ministrations of caller Sean (Mark Webber). But as their business partnership takes off, Lauren and Katie’s newfound friendship finds unexpected challenges that may leave them both, as they say, hanging on the telephone.

In Theatres August 31

ENTER TO WIN: $100 Visa Card From Linda Castillo’s Gone Missing

Linda Castillo‘s bestselling series has been called “gripping” [People] and “impossible to put down” [Bookpage] and the “teeth chattering suspense” [USA Today] continues with GONE MISSING - a deeply chilling novel about a rite of passage gone horribly wrong.

Rumspringa is the time when Amish teens are allowed to experience life without the rules. It’s an exciting time of personal discovery and growth before committing to the church. But when a young teen disappears without a trace, the carefree fun comes to an abrupt and sinister end, and fear spreads through the community like a contagion.

A missing child is a nightmare to all parents, and never more so than in the Amish community, where family ties run deep. When the search for the presumed runaway turns up a dead body, the case quickly becomes a murder investigation. And chief of Police Kate Burkholder knows that in order to solve this case she will have to call upon everything she has to give not only as a cop, but as a woman whose own Amish roots run deep.

Kate and state agent, John Tomasetti, delve into the lives of the missing teen and discover links to cold cases that may go back years. But will Kate piece together all the parts of this sinister puzzle in time to save the missing teen and the Amish community from a devastating fate? Or will she find herself locked in a fight to the death with a merciless killer?

About the author:

New York Times bestselling author Linda Castillo lives in Texas with her

in Amish Country and featuring Chief of Police Kate Burkholder. Visit
