Sorry, my husband always makes fun of the way Oprah screams out things to her audience members. Oprah, Gayle King, and a very fashionable Jennifer Hudson joined Denzel Washington at the Los Angeles Premiere of "The Great Debaters". Nice to see Oprah out and about. We rarely get to see her outside of the Harpo studios.

Russell Crowe, Olivier Martinez, Ben Foster, Denzel Washington, Damon Waynes and Mel Gibson all attended the industry screening of 'American Gangster' held at ArcLight Theatre. A few weeks ago we talked about how Will Smith is one of those actors who always make me want to see the movie. Russell and Denzel are both on that list as well. So this one just might be a keeper.

In 1970s America, a detective works to bring down the drug empire of Frank Lucas, a heroin kingpin from Manhattan, who is smuggling the drug into the country in the coffins of soldiers returning from the Vietnam War.

The movie releases on the 2nd.
