Dita Von Teese sat down for an interview and opened on lots of details in her life, including her marriage to Marilyn Manson, her room dedicated entirely to her vintage clothing and more.

On the hardest thing about stripping:

To make it look effortless and natural.

On the best thing about her divorce from Marilyn Manson:

There’s a long list. I am happy to have the drugs out of my life.

On her most prized possession:

I took my engagement diamond and had it transformed at Christian Dior in Paris into a beautiful ring. It’s nice; it’s big. I feel like I suffered greatly for that diamond, and it needed to be reborn into something better.

On her vintage style kitchen:

One of my big extravagances when I moved out of my former husband’s house was a matching pink stove and refrigerator in ’50s style. Unlike real vintage items, they work. Obsolete item she can’t bear to part with: Everything I have is obsolete. That’s the point.

On the extra bedrooms in her house:

I turned one of them into a dark, jewel box of a bedroom. Another is a wardrobe with my dresses, shoes and vintage clothes. The third is devoted to my hat collection and vanity. It’s a real powder room.

On animals in her house:

I have various taxidermied animals. I have a peacock, swans and birds in large glass domes. They’re beautiful.

Aside from the fact that I’m not really into stuffed animals, I would LOVE to see inside Dita’s house.  I’m just imagining it to be some kind of huge vintage paradise.  I bet it’s gorgeous.  For more Q&A with Dita, check out the full article in the New York Times. 

Dita Von Teese stopped at MGM’s Crazy Horse Paris in Las Vegas yesterday.  As usual she looks gorgeous and glam.  I think I love seeing her so much just because it’s nice to look at someone who doesn’t fit in the Hollywood cookie-cutter stereotype of beauty.

Holy flowers Batman! That boquet is as big as a small person! Dita Von Teese obviously received a warm welcome as she attended the Viennese Opera Ball at Lugner City in Vienna, Austria. I’ve been to the country and it is absolutely beautiful. A girlfriend and I went white water rafting with my future ex-husband. Mmmmnnn He barely spoke English… but he really didn’t need to.

Retro gal Dita Von Teese heated up the night as she performed on stage in London last night looking gorgeous in a sexy bird costume, or at least I assume bird since she was in a cage. I know so many of you are tired of Dita, but I think she is such a classic. There is NO ONE out there  like her. Much more interesting than Paris Hilton if you ask me. I mean who else performs burlesque acts in Hollywood?!

Retro glam goddess, Dita Von Teese was out shopping with her sister in Los Angeles. I just think it’s so odd to see her sister in relatively current clothing walking next to the very vintage dressed Dita. What do you all think about Dita’s “look”? I’m a fan of all things retro so a part of me loves it, but the other part of me just gets exhausted thinking about the up keep. I mean do you think she ever puts on ratty sweats?
