Coroner Confirms Dr. Dre's Son Died From Overdose
It took quite some time to figure out what the cause of death was for Dr. Dre's son.
Andre Young Jr. passed away in August of 2008 and a coroner confirmed last Friday the man died from an overdose of heroin and morphine. Such a shame!!
"This case has been closed, it's been ruled an accident due to
morphine and heroin intoxication," coroner spokesman Larry Dietz told
PEOPLE
Andre was found by his mother, Jenita Porter in their California home. I couldn't imagine. Even writing this sentence is getting me teary eyed. My HEART goes out to this family.
Dr. Dre's 20 Year Old Son Found Dead
I am so heartbroken for him. Dr. Dre's 20 year old son, Andre Romelle Young Jr, has been found dead. No details have been given so far on cause of death.
Young was discovered in his bed at around 10:30 a.m. Saturday by his
mother, who attempted to wake him, the coroner's spokesperson tells MTV
News.Young was unresponsive, so she called paramedics, who responded to the scene.
Efforts to revive him failed, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
In a statement Dre's spokesperson said,
"Dr. Dre is mourning the loss of his son Andre Young Jr," his rep said
in a statement to MTV on Tuesday. "Please respect his family's grief
and privacy at this time."
My heart goes out to the family. I cannot even begin to imagine feeling the immense loss they're going through right now.
