Drea De Matteo To Join Desperate Housewives
Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Drea de Matteo is set to join the cast of 'Desperate Housewives'. Now that Nicolette Sheridan's character is long gone, they needed to bring in some drama and Drea promises to bring the goods.
De Matteo, who will be a series regular, will play the matriarch of a new Italian family. Casting is underway for her landscape designer husband and their tightly wound son.

Well this sounds like a memorable proposal! If you were a 'Sopranos' fan, then you remember Drea de Matteo, who has been dating rocker Shooter Jennings since 2001. They even have a daughter together, Alabama Gypsyrose, who was born in 2007. Well, at Shooter's concert last night...
'[Drea] was dancing on the side of the stage holding [the couple's
18-month-old daughter] Alabama when [Shooter] called her on stage,' a
source says. 'She was so surprised by the proposal.' "
Shooter even twittered about it!
'Asked drea to marry me on stage tonight. I'm a lucky man,' he Tweeted. 'I'll never forget Utica, Ny. Hands off m------------ she said yes but
she's mad.' "

The dress she chose doesn't really show off her new pregnancy curves. :( Drea has a feeling that she is carrying a girl because of the weight she is gaining. She thinks because she is getting so "fat" that the baby must be female. I never heard this wives tale before. I at 34 weeks and have gained 35 pounds and I know I am having a boy. If I go full term, I could be pushing 50. So you can't really tell.
"It's weird because I'm Italian and I never eat Italian food normally. I guess I'm getting back to my roots, getting ready to cook!" "I just feel fat, but I feel great. I feel like I'm carrying the baby in my (behind), it's so big. "We don't know what we're having yet. But I use 'she,' because I'm getting so fat, I think it's a girl!"

The NY Post is reporting that Drea de Matteo and boyfriend Shooter Jennings are expecting their first child together. Drea was spotted shopping for maternity clothes at Veronique Maternity in NYC. Some workers overheard her claiming she was shopping for herself.
