Duffy Set To Sing Next Bond Theme
Any James Bond movies starring Daniel Craig seem to go through a number of stars for their leading lady role and their theme song singer. Last year, we must have went through a dozen actresses rumored to be linked to the film and a handful of song writers before the final selections were made.
Today is begins again. Duffy is set to sing the next James Bond theme... as of this very moment.
Work has already started on the follow-up to ‘Quantum of Solace’ – starring Daniel Craig as the British spy - and one of the film’s producers wants the Welsh singer to record the title song.
Producer Michael G. Wilson told Britain’s The Sun newspaper:
“I would love to get Duffy to sing the next tune. I think she is wonderful. Amy Winehouse would be good too.
“We have started work on the new film, which I can’t say anything about. Daniel Craig is very keen to get going.”
In case you forgot, Amy Winehouse was due to submit a track for ‘Quantum of Solace’ with producer Mark Ronson, but sessions were stopped as she reportedly “wasn’t ready” to record.
‘Another Way To Die’, performed by Jack White of The White Stripes and soul singer Alicia Keys, was later chosen as the theme song.
Duffy – whose song ‘Mercy’ picked up the PRS Most Performed Work prize at the Ivor Novello Awards yesterday – has revealed she is to make her film debut, although admits she isn’t too enthusiastic about it.
She reportedly said:
“I’m making a movie. It’ll probably be rubbish.”
LOL! Well, she is honest!
Love It Or Hate It: Duffy's New Diet Coke Ad
Duffy has a new Diet Coke ad that just made it to the web and I am curious to hear what you all think about it. It shows the singer using her 2 minute break between sets to ride around town on her bike singing and drinking some soda.

Celebrities Arriving To The 2009 Brit Awards
What? Another award show? I am SHOCKED! :)
Quite a few ladies arrived to the 2009 Brit Awards held at Earls Court last night in London. I like that each of these ladies have very different voices and styles which came through in their clothing choice.
- Katy Perry really went all out in black plastic (leather?) leggings and a black and pink corset-like top.
- Kylie Minogue kept her look classic and pretty in a black floor length gown and flowered belt.
- KT Tunstall wanted to make sure she came across as funky and casual which is why she chose a simple black dress, boots, and brown leather jacket.
- Natalie Imbruglia also went with black (though her look was more upscale) and she added some funky jewelery for a pop.
- Taylor Swift was simple and lovely in a silver jeweled strapless cocktail dress. Have I mentioned I love her?
- Duffy who's a popular Brit singer and has made quite a splash in the US looked great in a simple strapless black and tan dress.
The big question is whose dress looked the best and whose should have been left on the rack? :)

Who Is Duffy Without Her 60s Style? New Sound Planned For Second Album
I'm curious to hear what Duffy fans think about the following news tidbit. Turns out the singer's second album isn't really going to be anything like her first. In fact, Duffy plans on making a CD that sounds very Mariah Carey or Christina Aguilera. But what about her 60s sound? Don't we have enough pop?
According to Britain's Daily Star,
"Duffy and the team around her are very aware at how successful she has been by channeling the ’60s vibe, but they are already starting to think about album number two.
"She is keen to explore a Mariah (Carey) or Christina Aguilera style of album. On the next record Duffy can afford to be a bit more experimental now that she is assured her position as a singing force to be reckoned with."
I'm all for experimenting... but I hope Duffy doesn't give up her sound completely. What do you think about the plans for her second album?

Duffy Can Run... But She Can't Hide

Katy's dress is freaking me out a little bit. Guys already have a hard enough time keeping their eyes from straying...but I guess if they're staring at Katy's chest, technically they'd still be looking her in the eyes. :)
