Eddie Murphy was photographed filming scenes in Santa Monica for his new motion picture. The photo agency doesn’t offer any information about the film, or even a name and IMDB lists 5 films in production for him so I guess we’ll just have to wait and see which one it is.

Anyone out there excited to see ‘Meet Dave’? I feel like Eddie hasn’t had a hit movie out in awhile (Daddy Day Care, anyone?) so maybe this will be a hit for him. They sure have promoting the heck out of it.

Eddie Murphy has signed up for the fourth installment of Beverly Hills Cop due to release in 2010. I'm not at all surprised since Indiana Jones made $600 trillion over the weekend. Axel Foley is back!

What other movies should we expect to come back?

Did they take the full two weeks for the consideration? Eddie Murphy and girlfriend Tracey Edmonds have decided to call it quits just two weeks after their "wedding ceremony". Apparently, they didn't legally get married in the first place. Their ceremony was a "symbolic union". So nothing further needs to happen except packing up toothbrushes and exchanges keys.

"After much consideration and discussion, we have jointly decided that we will forego having a legal ceremony as it is not necessary to define our relationship further," Murphy and Edmonds tell PEOPLE in an exclusive statement. "While the recent symbolic union in Bora Bora was representative of our deep love, friendship and respect that we have for one another on a spiritual level, we have decided to remain friends."

WHAT HAPPENED?

Guess those Internet rumors were true after all. Eddie Murphy DID marry Tracey Edmonds this weekend. The couple tied the knot on New Year's Day on a private island off of Bora Bora in front of 25 close friends and family. How romantic!!

In a sunset ceremony on the beach Tuesday, Edmonds walked barefoot down the aisle to Gladys Knight's "Makings of You." The bride wore a custom-designed form-fitting dress by stylist and designer Sugia Nazel and Jill Baracci, designer and owner of Baracci boutique.
Murphy wore a cream suit and vest with an off-white handkerchief.

In other news, my daughter is WAY into Shrek these days. I have a little too much Eddie in my life at the moment. :)

Eddie Murphy's lawyer has released an official statement claiming that her client has been paying child support to Melanie Brown in order to help with Angel's daily expenses. Apparently, he also picked up the tab for Melanie's pregnancy. Not sure what that means - vitamins and stretch mark cream? Who to believe?? Who to believe?

In a statement released by his rep on Friday, the actor says he "acknowledges paternity of the child Angel, and has paid child support to Ms. Brown as well as covering the expenses of her pregnancy." The statement continues: "Mr. Murphy and Ms. Brown dated very briefly and never made any plans of ANY sort," although Brown told Essence.com that "this was a completely planned pregnancy."

Meanwhile, Melanie was photographed in Miami with her current boy toy, Stephen Belafonte and a bottle of the bubbly.

Eddie Murphy "has not paid one penny of child support" according to Melanie Brown's lawyer. She is heading to court to establish a "reasonable" amount for each month. And when I say reasonable, I mean completely ridiculous. I love it when celebrities get slammed with a $25,000 monthly bill. I understand it is based on income. But come on!!

"I am speaking out today because I recognize that there are millions of single mothers and their children who don't have a voice, who also wish for the fathers of their children to participate and share the responsibility for their children's lives," she said at a press conference at the LA office of her lawyer, Gloria Allred.
"Those children have a right to know their fathers and I call on those fathers to ignore the poor role model that Eddie has been and set a better example for their children."
"He has been generous to others but not to his own child," added Allred. "He reportedly just gave $100,000 to charity and bought a big diamond ring for his new fiancée (Tracey Edmonds). It Is nice to be generous to others, but what about his own baby?

According to In Touch Weekly, Nicole Richie is having a boy. A little rocker perhaps?

According to an insider, during Nicole's July 25 trip to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in LA, she underwent a very enlightening ultrasound. She and her boyfriend, Joel Madden, found out the gender of their baby: It's a boy!

Kevin Federline's lawyer has become a campaign to paint him as the better parent in order to help his custody case. Watch out Britney!

"When they are with him, he is going to shield his children from unwanted media attention," Kaplan said. "You will not find a picture of Kevin parading with the children out in a public place. "He's focused right now on being the best parent that he can be," the attorney added.

Melanie Brown's rep told People Magazine that the DNA test results are in... and Eddie Murphy is the baby's father! Although Eddie's rep refused to comment, I have a feeling this case is CLOSED! Well, at least everyone knows the truth. Eddie just wanted hard proof that he fathered her child. In the end, is there really anything wrong with that?

"He's the baby's father, it's official," says a source close to Brown. "The baby is undoubtedly, 110 percent his."  Of Brown, the source said, "There was no doubt in people's minds anyways, least of all hers. It wasn't a surprise to her. She knew all along."

Melanie Brown finally got Eddie Murphy to court in order to establish paternity for her two month old daughter. He has to appear in front of a judge TODAY and provide a DNA sample. Angel Iris (and the rest of the world) will know soon enough if Eddie is in fact her Daddy.

Now THAT'S a lady who can handle a question with grace! Eddie Murphy's ex-wife, Nicole Mitchell , was asked what she thought about Melanie Brown's claim of paternity. Here is what she said:

"It's a very strange situation. If it is Eddie's, it's going to be beautiful. I wish them both love. They look great together."

"If it is Eddie's, it's going to be beautiful"??????? THAT is what she says about her ex? Man, I have a lot of growing up to do because that would NOT have been my response. It's nice to see that these two are maintaining a mature relationship. They remain close for their five children.
