Halloween Is Starting With A Bang For Taylor Swift
Taylor Swift was a guest on Ellen Degeneres' show yesterday and Ellen played a little joke on her. I felt bad for her because I hate to be scared like this, but it was hysterical at the same time! You must watch the video!!
Ellen's costume is hilarious. I wish I would've tuned in for this one!

Mary Murphy Opens Up About Abusive Marriage On Ellen DeGeneres
'So You Think You Can Dance' judge Mary Murphy is doing the rounds promoting the reality competition and shedding light on her experience with domestic violence. I actually read a piece done on her in 'Us Weekly' over the weekend and it was just heartbreaking.
The subject is naturally intense, so I won't write about it here. In case you wanted to hear it, watch the video. She is a true survivor. It's wonderful to see Mary was able to rise above the ashes and succeed in life.
If you fast forward to about 6:00 or so, Ellen even admits to having gone through abuse and not receiving support from her family members. Brought me to tears.
Jennifer Aniston Singing On Ellen
Even though Ellen DeGeneres' team promised they wouldn't ask while taping, they did! How could Jennifer Aniston say no to a song request from the daytime host and comedian!? ;)
We all know that Jen is getting ready to debut her singing voice in 'The Goree Girls'. While we wait for that movie to hit the big screen, here's the 'Friends' star giving you a little sample of her abilities.
What do you think about Jen's sound?
Ellen DeGeneres Talks To Ryan Seacrest About American Idol Position

NATURALLY, Ellen Degeneres' first interview went to Ryan Seacrest right? This is the first season that I am actually really excited about. I can't wait to see how the show will change now that Ellen is on board.
Here are a few excerpts from Ellen's interview:
On her qualifications for being a judge:
"The people are the ones that choose the American Idol. Ultimately it doesn't come down to some expert in the music industry, it comes down to everybody at home that says 'that's the person I relate to, that's the person that I'm going to buy music from'."
On her judging style:
"I'm not going to be mean, I hate when Simon [Cowell] is that mean. You can be constructive and criticize somebody that's helpful instead of mean spirited."
On Paula Abdul's departure:
"I hope Paula [Abdul] is okay with it. I don't want anybody to think I took Paula's job away. I feel like she was gone and then everybody was looking for somebody else, then I stepped in. I certainly don't want to be that person that is the evil taking Paula's job away."
Some are saying the show "jumped the shark" with this addition. Do you agree?
Ellen DeGeneres Is Replacing Paula Abdul On American Idol

It looks like a lot more laughter is heading to 'American Idol' this season. Ellen DeGeneres has officially signed onto REPLACE Paula Abdul as a judge on the hit reality show program.
What ever will Simon Cowell do? Will he be able to remain so blunt and honest with the comedian around?
"DeGeneres will sit alongside Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson and Kara DioGuardi and offer her own unique perspective to the contestants throughout the competition," Fox television says in a statement.
What does Ellen say about the new job?
"I'm going to have a day job and a night job," DeGeneres said at her talk show taping Wednesday, assuring her audience that The Ellen DeGeneres Show will continue. "This is so exciting for me."
Can't wait to see how she does!

No Baby Plans For Ellen DeGeneres And Portia De Rossi

Ellen DeGeneres and Portia De Rossi say they have no plans to have children at the moment. In fact, the happily married couple says they enjoy raising their little animals and don't feel the need to expand any further.
"No, I don't think we're going to have kids," Ellen tells AOL's Inside/TV when asked if they were going to be moms. " We have animals, and we love them. They don't talk back, and they don't explore their vocal chords out in public."
Besides, they are both surrounded by children through their family members.
"[Portia's] brother and his wife just had a baby girl who's a month old now, and it's fun to be a part of that. But no, I think, you know, we definitely thought about it. And it's something I think most people, as a relationship goes on, explore. But it's just a huge responsibility, and I don't know that that's something we want to take on. We're very happily married without children."
