ZOOEY, AMY, ALLISON and MINDY
ELLE’s February Issue Cover Girls

ElleZooey

More is better when it comes to ELLE’s  February issue!  This month, ELLE has four strong, hilarious, successful women on four different covers!  Which cover do you like best- Zooey Deschanel, Mindy Kahling, Allison Williams or Amy Poehler?

Here’s a snippet from each of their interviews…

Zooey on how growing up in Hollywood affected her: Definitely none of the kids I grew up with would have ever thought, Zooey will be on television and have her own show.  I wasn’t the world’s most popular child, which gave me built-in tenacity.  Nothing has ever come easy for me, and I think that’s a really good thing.  I learned at an early age that you have to work hard for what you get.”

Allison on where she wants her career to go: “I want to play a villain.  I want to play a romantic heroine.  I want to play someone who’s on heroin.  There’s nothing I don’t want to do.  I want to play a guy at some point.  I’ll gain 100 pounds, I’ll cut my hair off, I’ll do whatever.  I’m not precious about any of it.”

Amy on the conflict between being a comedian and being a grown-up: “Now that I have kids, I’m up at 5:30AM no matter what.  Sleep at this point is just a concept, something I’m looking forward to investigating in the future.  But I’d like to say that I maintain that same sense of play and creativity and spontaneity – of being able to get into a room with people and say, ‘Let’s waste some time.’  When you’re a creative person, even when you’re in a position of power, you still have to be able to straddle both worlds.”

Mindy on how the The Mindy Project getting green-lit served as a desperately needed distraction from her mother’s death: “Any person that’s been in the business knows they’re so lucky to have their show picked up – it happens to such a small fraction of shows.  But I was lucky personally, because I needed a distraction so badly from my grief.  Still my thoughts flutter toward her in scenes that I’m doing, every night before I go to bed, and every morning when I wake up.”

ROSIE HUNTINGTON-WHITELEY
Launches Lingerie Line with Marks & Spencer

rosiePicMonkey Collage[gallink]

It appears things are heating up across the pond! Well, maybe not in the weather department. But model and fashionista Rosie Huntington-Whiteley has a chic line of lingerie and nightwear coming out with British department store Marks & Spencer.

This morning in London, the model (and now designer!) attended a photocall to launch the line. Rosie was effortlessly stunning at the launch in minimal makeup, a black top and black-and-cream cutout leather skirt to the knee. Her enviable blond hair was down and straight with a slight wave at the end.

We are so excited to check out the new collection. Fingers crossed it becomes available in the States!

OLIVIA PALERMO
Steal Her Style

Everything Olivia Palermo wears looks amazing, but I am loving how she’s embracing Spring in these great floral pants! And while it’s supposed to be spring, it’s still pretty cool outside so Olivia combines her floral pants with a great jacket.  You too can get Olivia’s casual yet chic look for a fraction of the price of what she probably paid!

Celebs to attend last night’s party included film actress Kate Bosworth in a gorgeous off-white silk dress and stick-straight hair; Allison Williams from the hit HBO series Girls looking cute as a button in black and navy; Leighton Meester from Gossip Girl in a simple green frock with her hair back off her face and punchy red lipstick; and Zoe Saldana in a blazer, black-and-white top and black straight-leg pants. Designers Jason Wu and Diane von Furstenberg were there, too.

Celebs Step Out for the Kate Moss Book Launch Party

Legendary model Kate Moss was absolutely stunning last night in a gold Marc Jacobs gown at the afterparty for book launch party in London. We hear it was the third outfit of the night for fashion-loving Kate. Who’s not surprised? Another stunning celeb to show up in support of Kate was raven-haired Florence Welch in a long beige and white swirl-patterned dress and black bomber jacket.

So, what are we toasting? Kate’s new coffee table book entitled Kate: The Kate Moss Book is out. It’s filled with fashion photos of one of the most photographed women in history, including some snaps from her very first shoot in 1988. If you’re a Kate Moss fan or just love fashion, this one should pique your interest!
