A few weeks ago, I attended CE Week with Techlicious and had a chance to chat with Goji Smart Lock founder Gabriel Bestard-Ribas. He introduced the group to a brand new product that I am sure is going to change the way we secure our homes for years and years to come.
The Goji Smart Lock is the first electronic deadbolt that provides home access control (including picture alerts) via your smartphone. Let me break it down.
Goji Smart Lock Features:
Picture Alert: There’s a built in camera that will send homeowners real time picture alerts (via text or email) that show whenever their locks are activated. The photos are recorded and logged.
Day and Time Parameters: You can decide who can access your home during specific times. Meaning — your cleaners can only open your door on Mondays from 8 to 11AM. Your out of town guests can have access for the 2 weeks they are staying with you. Love this.
24/7 Customer Service: Nuff said.
Secure Bluetooth Low Energy and WiFi: 128 bit encryption. WiFi enables you to control your locks from anywhere around the world.
Key Fobs and Backups: The lock also operates for people who don’t own a smartphone!! And if you don’t happen to have either device, there is a keyhole behind the digital display.
Simple To Install: It’s a Do It Yourself lock. Very easy to install.
Battery Operated: Operates on 4 C batteries and sends the owner an alert when they are low. The batteries should last for one year.
LOVE THIS!! The Goji Smart Lock will be available this December and will retail for $278.
