George Clooney's Next Project

George Clooney's Next Project

George Clooney's a busy guy! He's currently shooting the thriller 'The American' (see thumbnails below). He has three films coming out: 'The Men Who Stare at Goats,' 'Fantastic Mr. Fox,' and 'Up in the Air.' Yet that hasn't stopped George from signing on to his next project: 'The Descendants.'

[The film]...centers on a wealthy landowner who takes his two daughters on a search for his wife's lover in the hopes of keeping his family together.

It's based on Kaui Hart Hemmings' novel 'The Descendants.' Does that even matter or is George's involvement in the project the only thing you needed to know?

George Clooney Talks About Being In Love And Aging On The Big Screen

George Clooney Talks About Being In Love And Aging On The Big Screen

George Clooney admits that he has felt “lonely and incomplete” in past relationships just like everyone else. The 48-year-old actor – who has dated Renee Zellweger, Kelly Preston and Lisa Snowdon – has struggled to find love, and hopes his new romance with Italian TV presenter Elisabetta Canalis will go the distance. George told Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper:

“I’ve had some absolutely great relationships and some not so great relationships. I've been in some relationships where I've felt terribly alone. Just because you're with someone it doesn't mean you're incredibly happy and complete.”

George insists ending relationships is no different when you are famous, although the intense scrutiny on his love-life can make things tough.

“I've had some easy and natural, made-sense break-ups as well as some rough ones. I deal with them the same way we all do: I'm successful with some and not so successful with others.

"I don't think my experiences are any different than anybody else's, they've just been amplified a little more.”

George also revealed he is content with his appearance, and has no problem with his greying hair and lined face - although in his mind he still looks like he did in his heyday.

“I'm old. I'm kind of comfortable with getting older because it's better than the other option, which is being dead. So I'll take getting older.

"It's an interesting thing to be able to watch yourself grow older on screen. I was watching ‘Up in the Air’ and I thought, 'Jesus, who's the old, grey-haired guy?' And it was me.

"I never wear make-up for movies and now it's starting to show.”

I like George grey. In fact, I think he is sexier now than 20 years ago. Which version do you prefer? 'The Facts of Life' George or 'Up in the Air' George?

First Look: George Clooney's Trailer For 'Up In The Air'

Ryan Bingham is a corporate downsizing expert whose cherished life on the road is threatened just as he is on the cusp of reaching ten million frequent flyer miles and just after he's met the frequent-traveler woman of his dreams.

A George Clooney movie I'm not jumping out of my seat to see? How. Is. This. Possible? Perhaps the trailer needs to be redone? I'm going to watch it again after I write this post.

Take a look at 'Up in the Air' and let me know what you think. Something you would want to see in the theatre?

George Clooney Jokes About Adopting Brad Pitt's Children

George Clooney Jokes About Adopting Brad Pitt's Children

George Clooney has jokingly offered to adopt some of Brad Pitt’s kids. The ‘Fantastic Mr. Fox’ actor - who has no children - claims he owes his ‘Ocean’s 11’ co-star a favor and is willing help out with his six children. He joked to BANG Showbiz:

“I am planning to adopt. I am going to adopt some of Brad Pitt’s kids. I owe him.”

George previously revealed he has no plans to become a father, but spends time with Brad, his partner Angelina Jolie and their large brood whenever he feels lonely.

“Even one kid running around my villa makes me nervous, so I'm definitely not a candidate for father of the year. If I need to surround myself with children and feel like I have this big extended family, I can always call Brad and Angelina and ask them to stay with me, just to remind myself why I'm so happy."

Not everyone wants children. George leads a pretty fantastic life without having a family. Whatever works for each individual right?!

George Clooney Bought His Girlfriend A Ring

George Clooney Bought His Girlfriend A Ring

Is legendary bachelor George Clooney ready to settle down? According to OK! Magazine, he recently bought a ring for girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis after inviting her to move into his Studio City, California home.

[N]ow that she’s t[in his California home], he’s spoiling her rotten. In addition to slipping the Cartier diamond on her finger, George also bought the European beauty a Hermés Kelly bag and countless pairs of designer shoes. "Every day is like Christmas at George's house for Elisabetta," says his buddy, adding, "He's even looking at a Maserati. He's had a great life for a long time, but she seems to make him very happy."

However (and you knew that was coming ;), the source clarified that the ring was not an engagement ring. Do you think George is finally ready to settle down permanently?

George Clooney Begins Shooting 'A Very Private Gentleman'

George Clooney Begins Shooting 'A Very Private Gentleman'

We can't get George Clooney to come back to the States can we? It seems he is very comfortable across the pond these days! Here he is on the set of his new movie, A Very Private Gentleman, in Italy. The film is based on Martin Booth novel of the same name.

George was spotted during a break in filming as he ate a banana and talked to members of the crew. Looking at these pictures, it seems the actor's hand has healed up. Hopefully, he takes it easy for a few more weeks until everything is back to normal.
