Halle Berry Loves Mixing Her Own Scents
Halle Berry has always mixed her own perfume.
The 42-year-old actress - who has a 16-month-old daughter, Nahla, with partner Gabriel Aubry - has had an interest in fragrance since she was young and was delighted to get the opportunity to manufacture her own signature scent, Halle by Halle Berry.
"As a teenager, I learned that the scent you wore kind of defined who you were and said a lot about you. I used to mix my mother's Chanel and Estee Lauder, and I've been mixing my own ever since.
"My partner is a Frenchman so I've got to smell right. Gabriel loves the perfume - he was my chief tester."
The 'Die Another Day' star went to fragrance firm Coty with her perfume idea during her pregnancy.
She explained to Britain's Mail on Sunday's You magazine:
"Coty didn't approach me - I approached them! I was pregnant and knew I wouldn't be able to make any movies for a while. So I thought, 'Now's the time to create my own fragrance,' because I had wanted to do one for a long time. And luckily Coty said yes."

Newlyweds Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan were seen leaving Waverly Inn in New York with a group of friends while Madonna and Jesus Luz enjoyed their Sunday afternoon at the Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg, Russia.

Halle Berry and her little angel, Nahla Ariela, were spotted out visiting some friends who live in Los Angeles yesterday. Nahla is SO adorable, of course, and Halle must be one of the most beautiful moms in all of Hollywood. She's still rocking the boy jeans. I thought that was a trend that would come and go quickly, but it looks like Halle just won't let it die. :) What do you think -- is the look growing on you?
