The quote went a bit further… but we will leave it at that. And I suppose for someone who isn’t obsessed with the concept of being famous, it would be intrusive. After all, you can’ breathe in Hollywood these days without the paparazzi counting your every breath. So in order to remain sane, Hayden Panettiere keeps out of the limelight and rarely leaves her home.
“I don’t ever go out. I stay at home. I go from garage to garage, and keep myself out of sight. I love where I live and that I have wonderful friends there and I love what I do, but it really has a major impact on your life. This business is very intrusive. People want to know what you’re doing every day, and it becomes less about your craft and your art, and your love for acting, than it is about when you put food in your mouth, or when you’re walking your dog.”
“The interesting thing to me is, if you think about it, the glamor of Hollywood has been dimmed down by people that don’t necessarily love what they do or their craft. I think people who are mainly in the public eye and deal with this [attention], a lot of them like it and enjoy it. I don’t really enjoy going out, it’s a nightmare in my opinion.”
Is it me? Or was that the smartest quote we’ve heard in a long time from a young Hollywood star?

You know a celebrity is serious about their committment to doing good when they feel uncomfortable accepting an award for it. Hayden Panettiere was brought to tears while she was being honored by the Humane Society Of The United States for her protests against the slaughter of whales in Japan. She was thankful, but acknowledged that so many other people are more deserving.
“As an actress, you always dream of getting awards like the Golden Globe award, but I never expected to get an award that is this special and important to me as this. There are people who dedicate their entire lives to preserving the environment and defending animals, they are so much more deserving of something like this.”
A week or so ago I was lucky enough to get invited to attend the Shinnyo-en peace gala in which Morgan Freeman was one of the honorees. He too said something to the same effect. “Doing good is its own award. This is overkill”. It shocked me that he said that as I thought it was insulting to his host. But I then realized that it is true. When you are doing good for the sole purpose of helping people, receiving an award is really unnecessary. But it does get us talking about their efforts right? So there is something positive coming out of those ceremonies.

As if I can THINK about another thing this morning. Writing about anything other than the “did they or didn’t they” scandal that is going on this weekend is absolutely pointless. But I will give it a shot. Here are Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt getting married at the Kids’ Choice Awards. Woops — see! I can’t do it.

For a while there Hayden Panettiere was getting really overexposed. There were new sets of pictures of her coming out at least once or twice a day. Then when she and Milo went public she sort of backed out of the spotlight. And I’ve actually missed her! I haven’t put pictures of Hayden up in weeks, but she’s back now. The paparazzi caught a glimpse of everybody’s favorite cheerleader as she filmed, I Love You, Beth Cooper with Paul Rust in Vancouver.
In this month’s Cosmopolitan, Hayden Panettiere admitted that she is comfortable in her own skin. She acknowledges she doesn’t have a “model’s body” but is completely ok with that.
“I don’t have a model’s body,” the Heroes star, 18, admits in the April issue of Cosmopolitan. “But I’m not one of those crazy girls who thinks that they’re fat. I’m okay with what I have. I can rock this body, you know.”
She also said that Milo Ventimiglia is confident enough in their relationship to be OK with all of those kissing scenes Hayden is required to do for her craft. It’s part of the job right?
“I need somebody who is very secure,” she says. “In this business, I’m constantly standing next to gorgeous people.
“My job is to make out with [attractive] men. Like, hello, who wouldn’t be completely threatened by that?” she adds.“But, at the end of the day, you have to realize that it’s a job.”
And don’t expect this Hero to take a walk on the dark side. Hayden likes to think of herself as a “pizza and a movie” kinda girl. Mmmmnnn pizza. 
“I think people look at me as just another one of those girls who’s going to screw up, like, ‘She’s going to get into drugs, and she’s going to get into parties,’” Panettiere says. “I have an occasional glass of champagne when I’m celebrating something, but generally, I don’t drink. I’m a pizza-and-a-movie girl.”
