Isla Fisher May Become A 'Desperado'
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Universal Studios has bought a script called 'Desperados' that may become a movie for comedic actress Isla Fisher.
The story is set in motion when a woman sends an indignant e-mail to her new beau, who's gone silent after they have sex. When she discovers he's comatose in a Mexican hospital, she races south of the border with her friends in tow to intercept the e-mail before he recovers.
Your new boyfriend is in a coma and you rush across the border over a text? Well, flaky characters are funny ones :)
The script is described as "a female-oriented 'Hangover.'" Well, no one can deny how Bradley Cooper's star has risen since starring in 'The Hangover,' and Isla is certainly funny. Does this sound like something worth seeing to you?

Sacha Baron Cohen And Isla Fisher Rescue A Lost Pup
Sacha Baron Cohen is incredibly funny, but who knew he and Isla Fisher were so kind, too? Jennifer Tapiero's Maltese-Chihuahua mix went missing when some construction workers left a door open on her property. Then her uncle, whose phone number was on the dog's tag, received a phone call later that afternoon from a "British-sounding man," according to E! Online's Marc Malkin.
The man said he had found the puppy wandering along Laurel Canyon, a very busy street, and he saw cars swerving to avoid hitting it. He made plans to meet up with Jennifer and her uncle to return the dog. By way of description, the man said:
"I'm very tall and my fiancée is really tiny. You can't miss us."
It was only when Jennifer and her uncle got there that they realized it was Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher.
Can you imagine?

Isla Fisher Signs On For Two New Movies
Isla Fisher is going to be one busy woman! She's just signed on for two new romantic comedies. The first one is Life Coach and she will play a young woman who consults a Life Coach, who turns out to be more of a mess than she is! The second movie is called Someday My Princes Will Come. There's apparently no description of the movie yet but it's based on a French script and is also a comedy. :)
I think she's such a funny actress and I'm looking forward to these!
Her upcoming animated movie, Rango, will have her co-starring with Johnny Depp and Abigail Breslin. That one is due out in March of 2011.
I will always think of her as the crazy girl from Wedding Crashers! :)

Celebrities Attend Rock A Little, Feed A Lot
Marcia Cross, Sheryl Crow, Lisa Kudrow, Isla Fisher, Courteney Cox, David Arquette, Katharine McPhee, Christina Applegate and Alanis Morissette each attended the 'Rock a Little, Feed a Lot' benefit concert in aid of the L.A. Regional Food Bank & Feed America held at Club Nokia
Los Angeles last night.
A special concert being held during Hunger Action Month (September) to help raise awareness and funds for the 35 million people who are at risk of hunger in America.
Sheryl joined Benji Madden, Ben Harper and Jonny Lang on stage during the event to entertain the crowd - and what a crowd it was!

Isla Fisher And Sacha Baron Cohen Will Probably Postpone Wedding
We've all seen these kinds of people before...they're in a long term committed relationship, maybe they have kids, they've been engaged for FOREVER but they never seem to actually get hitched. Well, it looks like Isla Fisher and Sacha Baron Cohen may be that kind of couple too. Neither of them can make time in their busy schedules to get married!
Isla is just about set to start shooting 'Your Highness' in Ireland this summer.
If Isla signs the deal, it will mean moving to Ireland for a while with their baby daughter Olive,’ says a friend.
‘With
all their projects, Isla and Sacha haven’t had time to tie the knot.
They have set their hearts on getting married in Italy.’
The original plans didn't happen because of money troubles.
The couple originally intended to get hitched in August 2006, and
had even consulted wedding planners to organise their special weekend
in a medieval Tuscan village.But it all fell through due to escalating costs.
You have to wonder if they really can't find the time...or if they really just aren't ready to find the time quite yet.

Sacha Baron Cohen At The Premiere of 'Bruno'
Sacha Baron Cohen donned tight leather shorts and a bearskin hat for the UK premiere of 'Bruno' last night.
The outrageous comedian marched into London’s Leicester Square with a troupe of 20 scantily-clad male dancers dressed as members of the Queen's Guard while Gloria Gaynor's 'I Will Survive' blasted from speakers.
After an hour of prancing and posing, Sacha – who plays gay Austrian fashion reporter Bruno in the mockumentary – addressed the crowd from a white podium, poking fun at action star Arnold Schwarzenegger and British Prime Minister Gordon Brown.
In a thick and flamboyant Austrian accent, he said:
“I’m hoping this will be the biggest movie starring a gay Austrian since 'Terminator 2'. Talking of politicians, Gordon Brown… I mean, what is she all about?
"She is the gayest guy I have ever seen. Gordon, love, you need to take off those high heels and come out of that closet one of these days.”
The 37-year-old comic star also teased pop star Madonna and supermodel Naomi Campbell, saying:
“To anyone out there considering adopting a black baby like Madonna, don’t. They’ve been in fashion but they are about to be out. I’m going to put mine on eBay.
"And Naomi. It is wonderful that after 20 years of fame in this business she has remained a total b***h.”
I'm such a prude... and will leave it at that.
