Jack Black Picnics With His Family
Jack Black was spotted having a leisurely day at the park with his wife Tanya and sons Samuel (3) and Thomas (1). Jack is doing a little promoting with the t-shirt he's wearing for his new video game Brutal Legend that comes out tomorrow. He'll begin work soon on the new Kung Fu Panda sequel, The Kaboom of Doom.
How cute is Samuel riding on his dad's shoulders? He's like a blonde version of Jack!
Random bit of useless trivia: Did you know that Jack's wife, Tanya, is a triplet and is also the daughter of jazz musician Charlie Haden ?

Reese Witherspoon At The Premiere Of Monsters Vs. Aliens
Holy Smokes!
Reese Witherspoon kicked up the sexy factor in a mini dress with silver accents and grey and yellow pumps while walking the red carpet for the premiere of "Monsters Vs. Aliens" in Los Angeles this past weekend. I completely love Reese's style - hair, demeanor, dress, make up. You name it!
What do you guys think of her dress? How about those shoes?
Also attending the event were a few of her co-stars on the movie, Kiefer Sutherland, Hugh Laurie, Paul Rudd, Seth Rogen, and Jack Black (not a voice in the movie).
In order to get into character for the movie, Reese thought about
Arnold Schwarzenegger.
"They wanted me to sound like Arnold Schwarzenegger or Bruce
Willis. I was like, how do you do that?! The voice got deeper and stronger
and they wanted me to be like an action hero. They had to coach me a lot."We got home from seeing the movie for the first time and Ava and Deacon
were like, 'Do the voice! Is it really you?' "
How cute!
In the new Dreamworks film, Reese plays Susan, an ordinary woman who gets
hit by a meteorite and becomes Ginormica.
Reese loved the role so much, she bought her children dozens of Ginormica
action figures.
"I have all the action figures.
As soon as I saw my own action figure, I ripped her out of the box and
started playing with her.
"My kids love it, every morning we play with them. I have to pretend to be a
giant robot."
I'm sure Reese's kids won't let her live this one down for a while.
Jack Black & His Family At The Park
Jack Black and his family enjoyed their Sunday playing at the park in Beverly Hills. I think it's so fantastic that Jack can earn millions a movie just playing his fun self. Imagine how lucky that must feel?! It's also nice to see that he is a family man and I can just imagine how fun this boy's childhood is going to be!
Jack just wrapped up Year One along side Michael Cera who is quickly becoming a favorite of mine.
When a couple of lazy hunter-gatherers (Black and Cera) are banished
from their primitive village, they set off on an epic journey through
the ancient world
And up next Jack has Ye Old Times with Matthew Lillard who will forever be the "I'm feeling a little woozy here" guy for me. I loved Scream when it came out and that scene just stuck with me.

Katie Holmes And Tom Cruise Steal The Tropic Thunder
You can't expect anyone else to matter when Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise hit the red carpet. Even if it's technically not their movie to promote. Out of the 7 pages worth of photos I could purchase this morning of the Tropic Thunder premiere, more than half were of this famous couple. I barely could find one of Ben Stiller and he's the man character! I literally had to go back to the beginning and comb slowly through to find one of the funnyman.
Speaking of Ben, I guess he didn't get the memo that men don't wear shoes on the red carpet anymore. Robert Downey Jr. typically doesn't wear suit shoes, but he does at least put on a boot. Today it was all very fun and casual especially with Jack Black. Do you see his lightening jacket? That is hilarious!

Jack Black Marries In Front Of Bride's Stuffed Animal Collection
Blender Magazine scored an interview with Jack Black and got him to open up about his wedding to
Tanya Haden. The couple eloped to Big Sur and Jack claims she came along with a bunch of her stuffed animals. The story itself is SO RANDOM that I almost believe him. Then again, Jack is quick on his feet...
"They had a special package deal where you can get married by a woman named Soaring… The ceremony was pretty hippie, spacey and non-denominational. (It was) just us, Soaring, a photographer and Tanya’s stuffed animals. She has a bunch of stuffed animals that she gives voice to.
"All her animals and characters were there - Quacker, Imaginary Bear, Pee, Richard, Harold - and they were the witnesses."
And when the newlyweds returned to Los Angeles, they staged a party for family and friends during which Haden put on a puppet show.
Black recalls,
"(It was) all about Quacker, the duck, who was a little bit p**sed off because he was best friends with Tanya. A slide show that he narrated told the story of how we came together and fell in love, and how he was crushed by loneliness."
Ok, after reading this a few dozen times, I don't know how I thought for one second he was telling the truth.
