January Jones Says Ex-Boyfriend Ashton Kutcher Wasn't Supportive Of Her Acting
Hollywood really is like a big small town, isn't it? 'Mad Men' star January Jones sat down with GQ and did some serious dishing (which is the best kind, right?). Like: January used to date Ashton Kutcher.
[Ashton] was "not supportive" of her acting career, she says. "He was like, I don't think you're going to be good at this."
But that was for the best.
"He only has nice things to say now--if anything, I should thank him. Because the minute you tell me I can't do something, that's when I'm most motivated."
I bet Jack Nicholson would beg to differ. January knows him from when they worked together in the 2003 film 'Anger Management,' and she said Jack watched nearly the entire first season of 'Mad Men' without realizing his old co-star was Betty Draper! Now that's truly becoming a character :)
In all fairness, though, January did stress to GQ that she's nothing like her character, Betty.

Production Halted On New Reese Witherspoon And Jack Nicholson Film
Production stopped on baseball film 'How Do You Know' when one of the film's actresses went into labor during filming on Saturday. Funnywoman Kathryn Hahn, who plays a pregnant secretary in the film, gave birth to a healthy baby girl on Monday, though she wasn't due until September.
The film, which also stars Reese Witherspoon and Jack Nicholson, was set to wrap up filming and Kathryn had only one-day of filming left. Isn't that always the way!!?
Production will continue once Kathryn has recovered.

Injuries In Hollywood
Eva Longoris was rushed to the hospital on Wednesday after slipping on the set of Desperate Housewives. "Yesterday Eva slipped on one of the stairs coming out of her trailer. She was taken to St Joseph's hospital in Burbank (California) for x-rays. Nothing is broken, but her ribs are very bruised. She expects to return to work as scheduled."
While working on Snow Cake, Sigourney Weaver injured her knee while jumping on a trampoline. She says, "They had to shoot that scene really fast, and there was no time to warm up. I hurt both knees and I've been in physical therapy for months. Having to take a year off from working out was tough. I've missed it. I've put on eight pounds, which I'm looking forward to losing. You have to learn what not to do with your knees."
Jack Nicholson is bed-ridden with a neck injury, leaving him unable to promote new movie The Departed. A friend says, "We don't know exactly what is wrong, but something is wrong with his neck."

I almost spit my coffee out when I read this quote from Jack Nicholson regarding his impact on the making of 'The Departed'. He thought it would make a better character if there was a sex scene added that included two girls and a strap-on. He pitched it to Scorsese and Martin liked it. Now I HAVE to see this movie.
"I thought it would be more frightening if my character had a sexual component . . . so I called Marty up and said, 'Look, I just thought of what would be an interesting scene of [my character] having wild sex. And in this scene with two girls, one of the girls is wearing a strap-on' . . . This was my idea and improvisational, and Marty went for it." (source)
