Jada Pinkett Smith Talks To Her Children About Her Work Schedule
Jada Pinkett Smith has a sit down with her family whenever she has to change her schedule due to work. The actress always thinks of her family before signing up for new work, and usually checks her children are happy with her plans before she agrees them.
Referring to ‘HawthoRNe’, she explained:
“I figure out how I can give them what they need, and in turn be given the time to do what I want.
“I sat my kids down and said, ‘There’s a project that mommy wants to do. It’s going to be three months, and there might be days that I’m not going to be here when you wake up or when you go to bed. But then I might have two days off, and you can have mommy all to yourself.’
“Their response was, ‘Oh, yeah, that’s cool!’ Willow said, ‘When you come home late, will you just come in my bedroom and give me a kiss?’”
Jada insists she and Will Smith like to do as many normal family activities with the kids as they can, and her favorite pastime is baking.
She said:
“I love to bake - that’s the only thing I do. I don’t cook at all. I can’t. My mother didn’t cook and my grandmother couldn’t cook a lick!”
It's nice to hear these celebrity moms can't do it all!
Jada has also banned her children from “talking crooked” to
people.

Jada Pinkett Smith And Will Smith Do Not Swing
Jada Pinkett Smith clarified that rumor about her marriage to husband Will Smith this morning on a radio show. After 11 years of marriage, I guess Jada's heard it all, but since she's busy promoting her new show 'HawthoRNe' she has taken the time to clear the air.
'I've heard all the things -- their marriage is not real, he's gay,
she's gay, they swing,' she said. 'But at the end of the day, people
have to believe what they have to believe.'The couple -- who are raising children Willow, 8, Jaden, 10, and Trey,
16 -- has no plans to try to convince people of their sexuality at this
point in their lives.'One thing Will and I are not here to do, is like, what's real for us is
what's real for us, so you can either get on that bandwagon or not,'
she says. 'I'll tell you what, it's too hard to be in a pretend
marriage. Life's too short for that one.' "
Good for her! I really admire this couple: despite being in the middle of Hollywood, they've managed to stay together, drama free, and are raising a family together! That's a miracle in the entertainment industry.
Jada's new show starts tonight, and it co-star's 'Alias' star Michael Vartan. Anyone plan on watching?

Jada Pinkett Smith Addresses Open Marriage Rumor
I CAN'T BELIEVE that Jada Pinkett Smith ACTUALLY responded to these ridiculous rumors that follow her marriage year after year. If you haven't heard:
Will Smith is gay.
AND
Will and Jada have an open marriage.
Insane I know!!! While being interviewed by National Public Radio, Jada had this to say to end the quiet buzz.
"I don’t have an open marriage and no, we’re not gay - and you don’t trust that? Well then there’s nothing that I really have to say to anybody about anything, because at the end of the day, I’m living my life, and I’m happy."
There you have it. Wonder if Will and Jada are bothered by these rumors? Or do they understand it's just part of the game?
After 12 years of marriage, it's not like it really matters. These two are as happy as can be.

Jada Pinkett Smith Opening Another School
Will Smith caused some controversy when he opened up a school based on teaching methods from Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard. But apparently things are going well enough that the Smith family is going to continue their foray into the education system.
Will's school goes from pre-kinder through 6th grade. Jada Pinkett Smith wants to open up a high school.
Pinkett Smith says she decided to open the elementary school after developing a home-school program for her children.
