Jamie Lynn Spears brought out Maddie to make her big debut on the cover of Ok! Magazine. She also did an interview, telling them all about how motherhood is treating her so far.

She says that being far away from Hollywood is a good thing for her.

"Around here, everyone has the same focus. The focus is family, and that's a good way to live."

Jamie also talks about her delivery,

"They'd told me it would be an eight- to 12-hour labor, and I was ready to have the baby in three to four hours. I had a perfect pregnancy and a perfect delivery. I was very blessed."

And Jamie and Maddie are getting their own little routine going.

"She is very good," says Jamie Lynn. "She'll feed every two or three hours. When she wakes up in the middle of the night, I'll feed her and she goes right back to sleep. There's no screaming and crying. We get up in the morning, and she gets her little bath. Then I get my bath. We have a routine, and I love routines. I've worked one out with her, and we're happy going about our little life."

She seems like she's adjusting to life as a mother with no problems at all.  Good for her!

Congrats! Jamie Lynn Spears gave birth today to a healthy baby girl. She and fiance Casey Aldridge named their little bundle of joy Maddie Briann....how cute!

"Just the family was there," says a source about the birth around 9:30 a.m. at a hospital in Mississippi, near her Louisiana hometown. "Everyone is healthy and happy."

So I guess the rumors about her naming the baby Emma Jean were wrong. What do you think of the name Maddie?

And in more Jamie Lynn news, apparently she and fiance Casey Aldridge are going to wait a little bit longer before taking the plunge and getting married. One factor is the tension between Jamie Lynn and her parents and another is that Jamie doesn't want to be pregnant when she walks down the aisle.

"I don’t want to get married with a big bump under my dress."

And Britney is really impressed with how her sister is handling all this.

"I am so proud of my sister," Britney was recently overheard saying. "She seems to really have it all together."

Well, aren't we all? Entertainmentwise News is reporting that Jamie Lynn Spears is terrified to give birth. Her mom showed her some footage of a live birth and Jamie Lynn threw up afterwards.

"It was too graphic for her. She flipped out and literally got sick."

Now she's wondering if a C-section is possible.

"She wants to be knocked out and then wake up when it's all over."

Hahaha, wouldn't that be nice...Anyways, were any of you really freaked out to give birth like Jamie Lynn?
Oh, and in more Spears family news, Ok! is reporting that the supposed interview Lynne gave the other day with Life & Style is false...

Lynn Spears really has had a rough year with Britney Spears' mental troubles and Jamie Lynn's pregnancy. She spoke out to Life & Style Magazine about all that has gone down recently.
On Jamie Lynn getting pregnant so young:

"I'm a bit disappointed that my youngest daughter got pregnant at such an early age. All I can do is turn to God for answers and just leave it in his hands."

On what kind of a mother Jamie Lynn will be:

"Jamie Lynn will be a wonderful mother," she says. "She really has a way with children - ” she's a natural nurturer. I just wish she had waited a bit."

On Britney's relationship with her boys:

"I pray for Britney every day to be a better mother. She's gone through a lot of trauma, but she seems to be coming out of it - ” and it's showing in her relationship with the boys. They're really bonding."

On this year:

"I think 2008 will be a better year for all of us."

Jamie Lynn Spears turned 17 this past Friday and her fiance, Casey Aldridge took her out to Ruby Tuesday for a birthday dinner. Before that they did a little shopping at WalMart.  Looks like Jamie Lynn likes things a little bit more low key than her older sister...Bauer Griffin

Ugh!!! I'm sure when you're young and in love signing a pre-nup sounds like pretty much the least romantic idea you've ever ever heard of. Fortunately Lynn Spears is around to make sure that her daughter is completely protected financially. Even though Jamie Lynn doesn't want to make Casey sign, everything is all ready to go.

"The contract is already drawn up and ready to go," an insider confirms to In Touch. "Lynne's not sure marriage is a good idea, but she'll go along with that if that's what Jamie Lynn wants - ” as long as Casey signs the contract."

Lynn doesn't think that Casey is as committed to the relationship as Jamie Lynn is. She's worried about the rumors of cheating that she's heard.

What?!?  She is only 16 years old.  I cannot believe this!  People is reporting that Jamie Lynn Spears is engaged to the father of her baby, Casey Aldridge.  Supposedly someone in Louisiana talked to People and said,
"She's got an engagement ring," the source says. "She's been showing it off, talking about it."
I hope that if this is true these two are engaged because they are truly in love.  I know some people who married their high school sweethearts and are still going strong 40 years later.  But on the other side of the fence, I've known quite a few people who got engaged before they were old enough to know better...and things didn't end well.

Jamie Lynn Spears was spotted leaving a Mexican restaurant with a few t-shirts that she showed off to the paparazzi.  I guess the food was so good she wanted to bring home a little souvenir!  I'm glad to see her out looking happy and well.  I can only imagine the mental stress that a young girl goes through being pregnant in front of the public eye.
