Jeanne Tripplehorn
2010 Official HBO After Party For The Golden Globes

You don't realize how many show you love on HBO until events like this when all the actors gather together in one room. Kevin Connolly, Kevin Bacon, Kyra Sedgwick, Deborah Ann Woll, Anna Paquin, Stephen Moyer, Chloe Sevigny, Shannyn Sossamon, Lake Bell, Drew Barrymore, Jeanne Tripplehorn, Ryan Kwanten, Adrian Grenier, Amanda Seyfried, and Sam Trammell all walked the press line during the 2010 official HBO after party for the Golden Globes. Lots of interesting choices - particularly Amanda, Anna, Shannyn, and Chloe.
Last night three of HBO's finest took home a globe. Drew won Best Actress in miniseries or TV movie for her work as Little Edie in 'Grey Gardens'
"As I get older, I thank everyone in this room because this is my family, and I have grown up here.
Chloe took home the Best Supporting Actress Award for 'Big Love' while Kevin Bacon snagged Best Actor in a TV Movie for 'Taking Chances'.
"I wouldn't say it was fun, but it was an amazing, amazing experience for me.

HBO's 'Big Love' Will Open With A Provocative Storyline

Do you watch the HBO show 'Big Love'? It's about a polygamous Mormon family. Their fourth season is sure to attract some attention- at least from the Mormon community- with a gay storyline. Gay relationships are prohibited within the Mormon church.
"There's a provocative nature to what we're doing," co-creator Mark Olsen told Entertainment Weekly magazine.
"It's more than just the Mormon culture. We're highlighting certain aspects of the church's relationship with its gay members that I think, as the story unfolds, is going to cause no [small] amount of controversy."
The Mormon church, however, has already made it clear that 'Big Love' doesn't accurately reflect their beliefs.
"It is important to remember that 'Big Love' is a work of fiction," Latter-day Saints spokeswoman Kim Farah said.
Do you watch 'Big Love'? If so, what do you think of this new storyline? Does it seem like a good fit with the show or just a stunt to get more viewers? I don't watch, so I'm curious to hear what viewers think.

Drew Barrymore At The HBO Premiere Of Grey Gardens

Drew Barrymore looked stunning in a vintage inspired look as she walked the red carpet for the HBO premiere of, "Grey Gardens" in New York last night. I'm loving her entire look from the tip of the net headpiece to the champagne colored heels.
What do you guys think of what Drew wore? More celebrities should bring back that old Hollywood feel. It's so much more... magical than what we see floating on the red carpet these days.
Jessica Lange, Selita Ebanks, and Jeanne Tripplehorn (Big Love) also attended the premiere last night and each of them looked lovely as well.

Jeanne Tripplehorn For More Magazine

Once Tom Cruise’s plucky onscreen spouse (and Michael Douglas’s sexy shrink), Jeanne Tripplehorn now says she’s got the best job in town: learning all about sharing on HBO’s hit series Big Love. Next up for Tripplehorn: playing Jackie O. in HBO’s Grey Gardens. In the March issue of More, Tripplehorn talks about she initially hated her character Barb, plastic surgery and more.
Excerpts from the cover feature follow:
Why she almost backed out of Big Love: Having agreed to
play Barb, Tripplehorn considered opting out just before production on
the pilot began in May 2004 because she didn’t understand why a woman
would share her cherished husband with two “sister-wives.” “I mean,
honestly! Who does that? I got cold feet.” She called an orange
alert meeting with the show’s creators, Mark V. Olsen and Will Sheffer,
announcing to them with panic: “I hate Barb.” “We had to talk her off
the ledge,” recalls Sheffer.
But now…it’s all love:
“I’m in my forties and I’m being written for. It’s the
greatest role I’ve ever played – beyond three-dimensional. If more
gifts like these are coming my way, then I’m looking forward to getting
older.”
About polygamy:
“You would think going into it that it’s the ultimate male
fantasy, but it’s really the ultimate male nightmare. [It tells men],
‘you’d better watch what you ask for, because you’re going to get
it…and get it, and get it.”
About resisting plastic surgery:
