Jennie Garth Talks Marriage And Family In Hollywood

Jennie Garth told E! News that just because you don't hear about her eight-year marriage to 'Twilight' star Peter Facinelli in the tabloids doesn't mean it's boring.
"We have plenty of drama. You just don't hear about it," she confesses. "But I think every couple does. If you don't have drama, I think you must be a robot."
So how do they manage as a family living in Hollywood?
"We just try to stay real as a family, as we were both brought up, and not let it ever go further than that," she admits.
Part of that is simply being active with her kids, supporting them and guiding by example, and knowing that sometimes a creative game can make the most mundane task fun for the whole family.
"Every morning, I pull teeth to get them to brush their teeth," says Garth, who is working with Trident and Smiles Across America, which brings dental health care to underserved kids.
"As a parent, it's challenging to take care of your kids on every level, and this is just one of the many, many things that we have to be really diligent about as parents…
"I do something with my littler ones. We hide a little toy in their mouth, but it's not really even in their mouth. I tell them that there's something hiding in their mouth, and I hide it behind their head and so once they brush their teeth trying to get the little animal out, then they spit, and when they spit into the sink, I drop it into the sink and then they think that they've rescued the animal out of their mouth. They love it. It works!"
Teeth brushing with kids can be quite a chore :)

Celebrities Attend The Children's Institute 'Poker For A Cause' Celebrity Tournament

Jennifer Love Hewitt , Camryn Manheim, and Jamie Kennedy enjoyed a night at the tables supporting The Children's Institute 'Poker For A Cause' Celebrity Poker Tournament at the Commerce Casino in California.
Other actors that joined in on the fun were Brandon Beemer, The Children's Institute, Jennie Garth, Sara Rue, and Cheryl Hines.
Proceeds benefited the Children’s Institute, which helps children who have been affected by violence in their homes or communities. What a great way to spend an evening.

Jennie Garth For Cookie Magazine

Jennie Garth is on the cover of Cookie magazine’s October issue with her three daughters. Below are several quotes from the interview:
ON FEELING INADEQUATE COMPARED TO FELLOW CELEBRITY MOMS… “I think, This lady has all of this time to do amazing stuff. She has this amazing marriage. Everything in her life sounds perfect. My life is not like that. It’s almost like I have some kind of [memory] disorder— I don’t remember the good things … or the bad.”
ON STARTING A FAMILY AT AGE 25 with her then-boyfriend, actor Peter Facinelli, DESPITE THE RISK OF JEOPARDIZING HER ACTING CAREER… “There weren’t many actresses willing to have kids, because they thought it would jeopardize their career or their desirability. There was an actress on an Aaron Spelling soap opera who got sued for getting pregnant. I got pregnant right after her, while I was on an Aaron Spelling show. But I knew he’d be supportive; [90210 was such a hit] he couldn’t be anything but.”
ON HOW SHE AND FACINELLI (BUSY WITH ROLES IN THE TWILIGHT MOVIES AND THE SHOWTIME SERIES NURSE JACKIE) JUGGLE WORK AND FAMILY… “He works like crazy. But when he’s home and present, it’s great. It’s good for him, because it’s what he’s always wanted. [Early on,] all I wanted to do was work. Now all I want to do is not work. I’ve passed that stage of my life. I have to respect that we’re at different places. Hopefully it’ll balance out.”
ON DEVELOPING A TIGHT BOND WITH HER DAUGHTERS LUCA, LOLA, AND FIONA… “We’re always together, maybe to a fault! We like to be together, I think more than most child psychologists or even my mother would say is healthy. But there will come a time when they don’t want to be with me, so I’m reveling in it now.”

Jennie Garth And Peter Facinellli Enjoy Some Family Time

It looks like Peter Facinelli is trying to squeeze in some family time with wife Jennie Garth and their daughters before filming gets into high gear for 'Eclipse.' They were spotted out and about in Vancouver.
Jennie and Peter have three daughters: Luca Bella (above, with Jennie), Fiona Eve, and Lola Ray.
Purple looks like a popular color with the Facinellli girls :)

Jennie Garth Sure Knows How To Fuel A Fire

"I can’t say (who it is), because that would be breaking my promise (to husband Facinelli), but he (Pattinson) is dating one of them."
-- Jennie Garth talking about Rob Pattinson's real life love interest
Who do you think Rob is with? The rumors about Nikki Reed have been going on for ages, but the rags can't stop pushing Rob with Kristen. Take your guess.
