Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston were being lined up to star in the ‘Time Traveler's Wife’ – before their split.
The former couple – who separated in January 2005 before finalizing their divorce in October 2005 – would have been ideal for the lead roles of Chicago librarian Henry DeTamble and his love interest Clare Abshire, according to screenwriter Bruce Joel Rubin.

“I thought Brad and Jennifer would be perfect for this film. I just saw them as a perfect version of Henry and Clare. I just found them equally attractive and equally compelling and in terms of the Hollywood arena at that time, they were as good a couple as you could find.

"I was writing it in my mind for them."

The movie is based on the 2003 book of the same name by Audrey Niffenegger which follows Henry as he discovers he has a genetic disorder which enables him to travel through time when stressed.
The starring roles eventually went to Eric Bana and Rachel McAdams, and Bruce admits the pair have done a brilliant job of bringing the characters and story to life on the big screen.

“They are wonderful embodiments of who I envisioned would be on the screen.”

I am a sucker for Rachel McAdams - anything she does is just wonderful! Brad and Jen obviously didn't pan out for Bruce. Can you think of another couple who would have done better?

Jennifer Aniston got really candid with Elle magazine when she sat down to interview with them. She wants us all to know that she knows what people are saying behind her back.

"I'm not going to ignore the pink elephant in the living room," the actress, 40, tells the September issue of Elle. "It's fine. I can take it."

"If I'm the emblem for 'this is what it looks like to be the lonely
girl getting on with her life,' so be it," says the actress, who was
recently linked to Bradley Cooper following splits with Vince Vaughn, Paul Sculfor and John Mayer. "I can make fun of myself. And I'll bring it up as long as the world is bringing it up."

Jennifer also says supports "anybody who is in a place that's not their strongest [but] is ready to push forward." Good for you, Jennifer!

The actress says she uses humor to help her cope: a talent that she says her mother pointed out.

"I remember being 7 and asking my mom if I was as pretty as [my best
friend] Monique," she recalls. "And with all the love in the world, my
mom looked at me and said, 'Oh, honey, you're so funny.' So, she
doesn't lie to me . . . She answers the question by not answering and
instead tells me what she thinks is my greatest strength."

I've always liked Jennifer, but I have newfound respect for her just directly, and honestly, confronting all the stuff people are still saying since she and Brad Pitt split four years ago.
