Jennifer Hudson was outside the "106 & Park" studios in New York City last night showing off her new HUGE diamond engagement ring. Congrats once again to the newly engaged Jennifer. She must be in heaven! Jennifer is finally using her talent and getting paid for it, she continues to land fantastic projects, now the engagement - it just doesn't get better than this.

Jennifer Hudson got the "biggest surprise" of her life when boyfriend David Otunga asked her to be his wife on her 27th birthday during a day at the beach.

"It was a big deal… I got a beautiful ring and I got him. I had no clue at all… We went to the beach during the day and he blindfolded me… and he gave me a purple shovel, because purple’s my favourite colour… and I had to dig.

"I ended up digging through all this sand. When I found it, it was like a bunch of beautiful cards… one related to the other, and the last one said, ‘Look around, take the moment in, turn around and I have a gift for you.’"

Hudson showed off her stunning new ring on America’s The Tonight Show With Jay Leno on Friday (26Sep08), where she revealed her husband-to-be is "a beautiful guy", before boasting, "He’s an attorney, he went to Harvard Law School."

We don't get a chance to see Jennifer Hudson all that much, but she's been extremely busy since her American Idol days. Here she is departing from LAX yesterday looking bright and cheerful. Check out her blue nail polish. I can't stop wearing blue-black nail polish these days. It's really bad. I'm officially switching to lighter metallics this weekend.

Soooooo, what do we think about what Jennifer Hudson wore to the MTV Movie Awards? And move over Shia LaBeouf, I have a new young crush! His name is Sean Faris. You don't understand how CUTE this boy in face to face. WOW!

First we found out that Fergie recorded the opening record for the new Sex and the City movie and now Jennifer Hudson has just completed her contribution. All Dressed in Love will play over the film's end credits. It's supposed to be so HOT that we aren't going to be able to stay seated in the theatres. Sex & The City writer/director Michael Patrick King says, "Jennifer makes it almost impossible not to dance out of the theatre." Feet... don't fail me now!

Jennifer Hudson showed off a new haircut and rocked a fitted red dress as she performed at the SETAI, a luxurious Asian-inspired resort in the heart of South Beach. She was draped in hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of jewelry. HOW DOES THAT FEEL? I wouldn't feel glamorous. I think sick to my stomach is more like it. What if you lose something? Do you have to pay for it?

Award-winning actor and singer Jennifer Hudson made a grand entrance on to the red carpet with her family and entourage, as the featured performer for the night, in a form-fitting, two-piece, winter white skirt suit by Donna Karan. Jennifer dazzled in front of the world's media, wearing more than $150,000 in jewels. The brandishing beauty of bling gave photographers an extra special treat when she showed off a $55,000 7.5-carat, platinum-and-diamond watch provided for the night by Armaan Swiss Diamond Watches. Hudson also wore a 36-carat, 3.5-inch-wide diamond cuff bracelet in a floral design; a 10-carat butterfly-shaped diamond ring and beautiful eight-carat diamond drop earrings -- all by Rosalina (designed by Rosalina Lydster). Acclaimed Hollywood actor Dylan McDermott (The Pratice, Steel Magnolias) also arrived on to a packed red carpet shortly after in a navy blue Marc Jacobs suit, as the host for the evening of celeb-studded entertainment.

Oprah, Gayle King, and a very fashionable Jennifer Hudson joined Denzel Washington at the Los Angeles Premiere of "The Great Debaters". Nice to see Oprah out and about.
