Jesse James Says Sandra Bullock Is Not A Part Of The Custody Dispute

I wondered why Janine Lindemulder focused so much on Sandra Bullock when talking about her custody dispute over five-year-old Sunny. Jesse James is the father and the one with legal custody!
Jesse apparently feels the same way.
"Sandra Bullock is not a party to this litigation," [Jesse's attorney] Slifman says in a statement to PEOPLE. "Mr. James's sole concern is for the safety, welfare and best interests of his daughter. The proper forum to resolve this case is in the courtroom."
I guess I can see where having another woman parent your child would be especially troubling, and I can also see where mentioning Sandra would help Janine get on television in the first place.
Regarding Janine's remarks, Jesse's attorney described them as "inaccurate and unfortunate."
This entire situation is sad. Hopefully they'll be able to find a resolution that works best for Sunny.

Sandra Bullock In Custody Battle With Jesse's Ex-Wife
Jesse James' ex-wife, Janine Lindemulder, is taking to the airwaves to publicly blast him and Sandra Bullock over the custody of daughter, Sunny James (5).
Janine, a former adult film star, has been in jail for almost a year now, serving time for tax-evasion. She is out now and wants Sunny returned to her. So, like all good parents who want to communicate - she goes on Good Morning America to talk about it?
What would give her the right to take away my daughter?" Lindemulder said of Bullock, toward whom the majority of her ire seems directed. "This is my daughter. I'm the best mother I can be."
Jesse and Sandra both wrote letters to the judge pleading their case for wanting full time custody of Sunny. Apparently the living the conditions at Janine's were less than desirable. Sandra's letter included:
"I myself have stopped working like I used to in order to be here with Jesse and the kids because we are on constant 'high alert,' " she writes. "Never knowing what condition Janine will be in, and even more concerning, the condition Sunny will be in.
Sandra Bullock Had To Adjust To Married Life

Sandra Bullock told Harper's Bazaar she had to learn how to do some things differently after marrying Jesse James in 2005. I'm sure all of you who are married can relate ;)
On that rare, candid paparazzi shot of her and husband Jesse James dirt biking:
"I panicked. We were in the desert, no place to pee. So I peed outside. [I thought] on the cover of the tabloids there's going to be a picture of me peeing by a cactus. And yes, I did it. I'll do it again."
On marriage to her husband, Jesse James:
"I've had to learn a hard lesson in that I'm not allowed to open car doors anymore. It was so hard for me to allow someone to take care of me. It's not because I can't take care of myself. But Jesse was like, Just let me do this.
On whether she's start a family of her own with Jesse James:
"You don't have to give birth to someone to have a family. I'm not going to spend two seconds of my life wishing I had something I don't. It's hard to do it your way when you hear everyone else telling you to do it their way. I just want people to admit that there's no one way to live your life. Of course, I don't know what's going to happen. I could go home today and go, I haven't started my period."
On having a recession-friendly fashion sense:
"I've never really had 'the closet,' you know, like the Kimora Lee Simmons closet. I see that and I want the leopard carpet. I want the chaise. But if we learn anything from this economic collapse, it's just work with what you've got."
On finding freedom in her 40's:
"I didn't have a teenage or early-20s experience that was free and without worry. I missed the screw-everything, have-a-good-time phase. I was worried that if I didn't stay on track and work, work, work, I was never going to accomplish anything. Now I'm trying to have fun and have the freedom to do nothing."
Sandra also said that after working hard in her 20's, she's trying to enjoy life a little bit more. It does seem like a long time since she's been in a movie, doesn't it? The last thing I saw her in was 'Crash.'
Now Sandra has a new movie coming out called 'The Proposal,' which co-stars Ryan Reynolds. In it, Sandra plays a "pushy boss" who has her assistant (Ryan's character) marry her to avoid deportation to Canada. Does that sound like it's worthy of a trip to the theater, a renter, or a pass to you?

Sandra Bullock Takes On Full Time Mom Role While James' Ex Is In Prison

Jesse James' five year old daughter is now living full time with Sandra Bullock and her celebrity mechanic husband. Turns out Jesse's ex-wife (porn star Janine Lindermulder) is serving a 6 month federal prison sentence after not paying over $200,000 in taxes!
Jesse has been granted full custody and a National Enquirer source tells the publications Sandra is more than willing to take on her responsibility.
"This is a dream come true for Sandra, but it’s Janine’s worst nightmare.
"Janine is worried that, while she’s in prison, Jesse will file another motion with the court to gain permanent full custody.
"Sandra loves Sunny like her own flesh and blood, and will completely support Jesse if he chooses to fight for full custody."
I hope Sunny is able to adjust while her mother is away. This must be so difficult for the child to understand!

Sandra Bullock And Jesse James Hit By A Drunk Driver

Thank goodness no one was hurt! Sandra Bullock and Jesse James were in a car crash on Saturday night after their vehicle was hit by a drunk driver. Here is the full release from WENN:
The couple was being driven home in a private car in Gloucester, Massachusetts, at around 9.50pm when they were struck by a grey Subaru station wagon. The Subaru is reported to have switched lanes and smashed into the front of Bullock's car. No injuries were reported.
Police attending the scene identified the Subaru driver as Lucille P. Gatchell, from Gloucester, who was arrested after failing a sobriety test.
Gatchell allegedly had two and a half times the legal alcohol limit in her system, she was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and failure to stay in marked lanes. The 64-year-old was released and is expected to face arraignment on Tuesday (22Apr08).
Gloucester Police Lieutenant Gerry Cook insists Bullock and her husband were lucky to escape unscathed. He tells people.com, "They were shaken up, needless to say. But they were fine - he was hugging her. Jess and Sandra were hugging. They said they were fine, they didn't need medical attention. There were quite a few people snapping pictures of them. It's unfortunate. But it shows you that no one is immune from drunk drivers, no matter how famous you are." (LR/WNWCPL/)

Sandra Bullock Spends Time With The Family
The entire family went out to show some support for their hometown team at a soccer game in LA. Sandra Bullock, Jesse James and children were spotted at a park cheering on their youngest man while he did his thing on the field. Looks like Sandra really makes a fun step mom. :)removed
Sandra Bullock Really Just Wanted To Watch Her Husband

I just received this email from a reader who was lucky enough to get some face time with Jesse James and Sandra Bullock. Jesse was very kind to his fans during the SCORE race in NV. He chatted, signed autographs and took a few photos. Sandra, on the other hand, wasn't really in the mood.
It is very common for famous couples not to want to take the spotlight away from their partner when it is "their day". And it was most certainly Jesse's day. Perhaps Sandra wanted to keep the focus on her man and just be another fan in the audience.
I was at the SCORE (score-international.com) race in Primm, NV this weekend. Jesse James races a trophy truck, #54. The rear axle broke on his truck right in front of our pit. We walked over to him and he was soooo friendly. Off road racing is brutal to the body. This race especially is a tough one. Despite the fact that he was likely very tired, Jesse was very kind and signed autographs and posed for pictures. After a few hours of work, Jesse and his crew were able to fix the truck and get racing again. (Unfortunately, another break later put him out of the race) Back at the main put, Sandra Bullock was understandably less enthusiastic about fans.
I watched a group try to approach her and she was very stand-offish. I talked to the group that shares a pit with Jesse James and after hearing that they are constantly hounded by people at these races, I decided to leave her alone.
Thanks Melanie!
Jesse James
