In case you didn't already get your fill ofstars at the CMA Awards, here a few more for you! We were just talking about whether or not Jewel will be able to make it in country music and here she is doing her part to become known in Nashville. Kate Walsh was part of the show as well! Next thing you know she'll be announcing that she's starting a career in country music too...it's the cool thing to do in Hollywood these days :)Also show in the thumbnails are Sara Evans and Taylor Swift. First we heard Jessica Simpson will be pursuing a career in country music and now Jewel has decided to go the same route. She just signed a multi-album deal with a record label based out of Nashville. In an interview with Billboard she talks about her reasons and says she's always been a little bit country.

"I've been wanting to do this record my whole career," she tells Billboard.com, "but my label was always scared of country music. I've always had country songs on my records. If I had been discovered now, living in my car in San Diego, I think I would have been signed as a country act. As a singer/songwriter and as a storyteller, I'm old fashioned. I like a beginning middle and end to my songs. That's pretty much just country radio now.""

Jewel currently lives in Texas but has spent a lot of time in Nashville recently, hosting the reality show Nashville Star and making an appearance on country newcomer, Jason Michael Carroll's album. She will also be a presenter at the CMA awards, coming up on November 7th.

Jewel won't marry her boyfriend of eight years until all their major relationship problems get resolved (good luck).

"We've had so many friends get married and divorced in the eight years we've been together. I think if we had kids, we'd get married. But I still have more work to do. I don't want to be selfish and drag kids through too much!"

"After I did Ride With The Devil I started doing auditions and realised I am definitely too lazy to have a second career in acting. I got scared to tell you the truth. A lot of my heroes did their best work and their best writing in their 40s and 50s, but most of them died really estranged from their families and alone. I'm not totally sure I've got another shot at acting in me, so I kind of just decided I'd rather be home on my days off than go and audition for a movie."
