Jodie Foster and Mel Gibson Film 'The Beaver'

Jodie Foster and Mel Gibson were snapped on the set of their new movie The Beaver, a comedy/drama set to release in 2011.
A guy walks around with a puppet of a beaver on his hand and treats it like a living creature.
Sounds, uh...different. LOL!
According to IMDB, Steve Carell and Jim Carrey were both previously attached to play the lead before it went to Mel. I'm pretty happy to see Mel return to a more comedic role - I loved that side of him in the Lethal Weapon movies. And I love Jodie in a comedy role, too - her character was a riot in Nim's Island. It's rare for an actor/actress to be able to pull off both comedy and drama but these two are great at it! Jodie is also directing this movie.

The Paparazzi Worked Their Way Into Uma Thurman's New Movie

We've all seen (and, let's face it, enjoyed ;) the pictures of celeb moms and their children in the park. Paparazzi attention is part of being a celebrity. For Uma Thurman's and Minnie Driver's new movie, 'Motherhood,' the paparazzi became such a pervasive influence that they got into a scene in the movie!
'Motherhood' director Katherine Dieckmann told E! Online's Marc Malkin that watching the paparazzi hound celebrity moms at NYC parks inspired her to include a scene in the movie with that happening. Jodie Foster agreed to do a cameo as the celebrity being hounded by paps.
And true to life, the real paparazzi were hounding Uma and Minnie at the same time.
"One day, Minnie was queasy, it was hot out and these guys would not
leave her alone," Dieckmann said. "She was so hormonal and started
screaming at them and then they starting snapping her. I stepped
between her and the paparazzi and go, 'She's pregnant!...Like f--king
be a human being for one second. They all left except for one guy, who
was like, 'I just have to get my shot, man!' "So Dieckmann struck a deal with him: "We actually let him be in that scene with Foster to leave Uma and Minnie alone."
It worked.
"And then the night before [Foster's shoot], Jodie says to me, 'You
know, if you want to write me a line, you can write me a line,' "
Dieckmann remembered with a laugh. "I was like, 'OK, I will write you a line.' So I wrote her, 'Go work in a soup kitchen, you f--king parasites!' "
LOL! Who says film isn't true to life?
Here's a description of the film. Does it sound like something you want to see?

Mel Gibson And Jodie Foster Team Up For Beaver

Mel Gibson and Jodie Foster are teaming up once again for the big screen. It's been 15 years since the two actors have worked alongside one another and now E! News is confirming the actors have signed up for 'The Beaver'.
A quirky comedy drama along the lines of 2007's indie hit Lars and the Real Girl (or, depending on your humor, South Park), the Kyle Killen-penned script follows a down-and-out man (Gibson) who finds comfort wearing a beaver hand puppet. Foster will not only play his wife, but she'll also helm the film, marking her first directing effort since 1995's Home for the Holidays.
Sounds... interesting! :)
The only reason why I would even give this one a shot is because Jodie doesn't do just any movie. It seems she waits until something feels right.
Do you watch movies based on which actors are involved even if the plot doesn't really interest you?
Celebrities Attend The Women in Film Crystal and Lucy Awards

The talented and the beautiful came out to show their support for a wonderful cause. Cheryl Hines, Jodie Foster, Heather Locklear, Jennifer Aniston, Chelsea Handler, Michelle Trachtenberg, Holly Hunter, Selena Gomez, and Amber Valletta walked the red carpet and greeted one lucky auction winner at
The Women in Film Crystal and Lucy Awards 2009 at the Century Plaza Hotel.
Jennifer took home the 2009 Crystal Award while Holly claimed the 2009 Lucy Award. Chelsea hosted - so I am sure it was a night filled with laughs.

Jodie Foster Is Obsessive About Her House Rules

Jodie Foster admits she gets a little crazy when people break her house rules. She's a tiny bit obsessive about them! But hey, everybody has their quirks, right? Jodie revealed some of her funny habits the other day.
"I have a lot of anal habits - I squeegee out my shower every single time I take it. And I'm just a dictator about my cappuccino maker nobody else is allowed to touch it because they don't clean it up properly. I also like my towels folded in thirds and when the kids don't (do that), I'm like, "Well, use your own towels. Don't use my towels!' The way I cope with all my neuroses is I just get out of my head - go to the gym, ski or do yoga or hike."
Hey, I have no right to criticize, I'm anal about certain things too...aren't we all?

Keep these boys on the payroll so I can post pictures of them."Nim's Island" comes out April 4th.
