In an interview with TODAY’s Matt Lauer, former “Full House” star Jodie Sweetin talks about growing up on the set and the turbulent years of alcohol and drug addiction that followed.

Jodie Sweetin To Write Book About Drug-Fueled Past
For those of you who don't recognize the name, Jodie Sweetin played Stephanie Tanner on the hit show Full House. She's had a very turbulent life since the show ended and is writing a memoir (titled "Unsweetined") about her struggle with drug and alcohol dependence.
"I wanted to prove that I wasn’t the girl from Full House, that I could get more trashed than everyone else,"
Her first drink was at age 14 while attending co-star Candice Cameron's wedding. She passed out in the bathroom and right then realized:
I was Jodie Sweetin and I was an alcoholic."
According to the article, she started out with alcohol and progressed to other drugs such as cocaine and crystal meth. She even fesses up to driving drunk with her infant daughter, Zoie, in the car.
I hope she's gotten herself sober and maybe that's a step in her recovery - sharing her experience in a book?

Jodi Sweetin Almost Died
It comes as no surprise that more information about Jodie Sweetin's recent and past drug use has started to surface since she's currently in a custody battle with her soon to be ex-husband Cody Herpin.
Jodie almost stopped breathing SEVERAL times after using copious amounts of cocaine. Of course, this information comes via tabloid so who knows if it's true, or just strategically coming out now right around the time of the custody battle.
"Jodie was in a coke-fuelled haze, and stopped breathing several times.
If it hadn’t been for her husband resuscitating her, there’s no doubt
in my mind she’d be dead right now."According to Fashion, Sweetin went
off the rails after an argument with Herpin over her drug use - and
then drove off, before crashing a Hollywood Hills house party where she
nearly overdosed on cocaine.
He adds, "When Cody and I arrived at the house, we found Jodie passed
out in a bedroom. She was barely coherent, and she’d vomited in the
adjacent bathroom.
Cody began rubbing Jodie’s arm to wake her. She opened her eyes and
said, ‘I love you. Do you still love me? I’m so sorry for all of this.’
"Then she started having convulsions. Her chest stopped moving, and her
face began to turn blue… Cody started shaking Jodie and yelling, ‘Wake
up, Jodie! Wake up!’ But she wasn’t breathing. He immediately started
pushing her chest and, miraculously, she started breathing again."And
Herpin has confirmed Fashion’s version of events, saying, "It was a
night I’ll never forget."
Celebs At The 15th Annual Lint Roller Party
Alyson Hannigan, Emmy Rossum and Jodie Sweetin all came out last night for the 15th Annual Lint Roller Party presented by the Best Friends Animal Society. I love these sort of laid back events where celebrities can bring their pets. It's so funny to see the girls in mile high heels trying to get their dogs to pose on the red carpet!

Swing The Vote Premiere
DJ!!!!! Wow, Candace Cameron Bure was always cute on Full House but now that she's grown up she is just downright beautiful! It's a shame we don't get to see more of her, but she hasn't done much on screen work recently.
And it was like a little Full House reunion because Jodie Sweetin also attended the premiere of Swing the Vote yesterday. Kelsey Grammer, Dane Cook, Tim Allen and Gary Busey are all in the thumbnails too.
