Jon Gosselin Suing TLC For $5 Million

According to PopEater, Jon Gosselin has filed a lawsuit against TLC. He is reportedly seeking damages from the company in the amount of $5 million dollars.
The suit alleges that TLC:
damaged his reputation and is preventing him from finding work elsewhere, according to PEOPLE
Jon's lawyer says that it's been rough for Jon and TLC is to blame.
"Their behavior has caused Jon great anguish and it has caused him financial losses," his attorney Mark Heller says.
Heller also claims that Jon was taken advantage of back when he signed the original contract for 'Jon and Kate Plus 8'.
"They had a cadre of lawyers so they had a one-sided agreement,"
Oh my. This ought to be quite the battle. Do you think TLC is to blame for damaging Jon's reputation?

Jon Gosselin Wants To Turn Back Time
I'm sorry... but I thought this video was really FUNNY! Not only did I think it was funny, I wish it would come true! The good people over at 'Funny or Die' sat down with Jon Gosselin and turned back time.
Take a look and let me know what you think. Deleting Michael Lohan from his phone, returning the Ed Hardy, throwing away the red bull and his collection of hair products... come on. That was funny! :)
Jon Gosselin Plans To Countersue TLC

According to Radar Online, Jon Gosselin has decided to respond to TLC's breach of contract lawsuit with a lawsuit of his own. He reportedly plans to sue TLC for $5 million dollars.
In the past [Jon, his manager, and attorney] have contended that Jon was not adequately represented when he signed his TLC contract.
Jon is likely to argue that TLC is preventing him from earning a living with a contract that is too restrictive.
In its court filing, TLC noted that it offered to keep paying Jon when it planned to change the show from Jon & Kate Plus 8 to Kate Plus 8. The suit also notes that TLC is not stopping Jon from earning a living and contends he is always able to go back to his former job in Information Technology.
Radar Online reports that no paperwork has been filed to say who is representing Jon in Maryland, the state where TLC filed its lawsuit, and he is scheduled to have to testify in mid-December. His attorney Mark Heller is not licensed to practice in Maryland.
Meanwhile, TLC is claiming that Jon breached his contract (which was exclusive with TLC) when he accepted payment from "various media outlets and for promotional appearances," which is supposed to be prohibited in the TLC contract.
What a mess.

ANOTHER Public Apology From Jon Gosselin
I've really tried to slow things down with the Gosselins and the Kardashians. I realized it was complete overkill - but Jon just makes me so crazy I have to post this.
He's already apologized to the WORLD about his fame seeking ways. He's already promised to get back to a healthier place with his family and seek counseling. WHY is he doing it again publicly? If he doesn't want the fame, why keep making public statements?
While attending a public dialogue with Rabbi Shmuley Boteach at New York City's West Side Jewish Center, Jon had a few things he needed to get off his chest:
On why he's famous: "I think I'm just misunderstood. I'm not a fame seeker. Everyday I look in the mirror and I wonder [why I'm famous]. I don't sing. I don't dance. I'm not a Nobel Peace Prizewinner. I just had eight kids and I had a show on TLC."
On taking responsibility: "Half the stuff I've done, if I look at my moral compass, I shouldn't have done," he said. "I know that but I did it anyway. It's like fame canceled out conviction."
On mending his relationship with Kate: "I want to apologize to Kate in private. "I'll apologize to her for openly having relationships in the public eye. That was a huge mistake, because if she would've done that to me, I would have been extremely pissed off. Not because our relationship is over, it's almost like a stab in the back. And now that I think about it, it was a very wrong thing to do. I definitely regret it."
"It's hard for me because I can't forgive myself for the things I've done. So to ask for forgiveness from someone who may never forgive me is tough for me. I do apologize to Kate. I'm sorry for doing the things I did. I do ask for her forgiveness."
On Hailey Glassman: "We decided not to take a break, just slow things down, until I get through my divorce and I know everything is settled and okay. I don't want another failure in my relationships. I don't want to make the same mistakes I made with Kate, with Hailey. I would just be repeating the pattern over again."
Does this change anything for you? Why does Jon keep using the press to apology after people stop showing interest in him? The story is old and over - yet Jon keeps doing things to remain relevant. If he really wants to fix things... then FIX them and stop releasing statements. Go and FIX THEM. We don't need a heads up that it's going to happen! Am I the only one that feels this way?

Quote Of The Day: Jon Gosselin's Public Apology

"I am troubled to learn that the media has accepted as true the scurrilous rumor that I would appear in a reality television program with Nadya Suleman. This is utterly false. I do however accept that some of my previous actions have in some way lent credence to such outrageous stories."
"I am well aware that my behavior over the past few months has not always reflected my personal and religious values.
"I further accept that I have allowed myself to become somewhat severed from my own moral anchor and be carried away by the challenges of fame. It is for this reason that I have endeavored of late to reconnect with my deeper, more spiritual, more altruistic self with regular study sessions and counseling."
"I have always endeavored to be a loving father and a devoted parent who serves as a moral exemplar to his eight children…My father was my inspiration and moral compass. I intend to serve the same role for my own children by taking responsibility for my errors and making right any pain I have caused to those I love."
"I wish for the public to know my regret at having, at times, betrayed the moral principles that have always guided me. This forum will also allow me to illustrate the further steps I am determined to take to regain the trust and confidence of loved ones as well as the public who have watched me over the years, together with Kate, raise our eight beautiful children."
"I could tell you that these steps are absolutely sincere and not intended for public consumption. But I know that ultimately I will be judged not by my words but my actions."
"It is my sincere desire to use the fame I have so unexpectedly acquired to highlight mature, responsible behavior as well as the joys of fatherhood and family. I ask the public to please understand the challenges I face in living under constant public scrutiny, even as I am aware that I have at times courted that scrutiny.
"I am committed to making things right with Kate and especially my children. I ask you to please give me the opportunity to prove myself."

What do you think about this long winded apology? Does it really matter anymore? Is this just an attempt to stay relevant? Do you feel more compassionate towards Jon after reading this?

Kate Gosselin Says She Hasn't Received Money From Jon

And here we go. Yesterday, Jon Gosselin's attorney said Jon had returned the money (although he declined to say the exact dollar amount) to their joint banking account. Well, Kate's attorney said they haven't received the money.
So far only $28,500 has been returned, says Kate's lawyer, but at 1:23 p.m. he received an email from Jon's Pennsylvania attorney saying he had the remaining $152,000 he owes.
"We still haven't had that money wired to us," he told PEOPLE. "I have no doubt Jon's lawyer is making an accurate representation but I'm just waiting."
Kate's attorney said his client was only ordered to account for money she had spent.
"Kate has complied with the court order in advance of the date," he says, noting the reality mom was not ordered to return any money.
So much for keeping things private. In other news, Jon's rep denied that he was considering competing on either 'Survivor' or 'The Amazing Race.'

Jon Gosselin Returned The Money And Is In Talks With CBS

According to attorney Mark Heller, Jon Gosselin has returned the money to his joint bank account with soon-to-ex-wife Kate, so he should avoid facing contempt proceedings when they return to court.
Heller made a point of saying Kate has not returned money (although she reportedly wasn't ordered to return anything, just account for money she had spent).
"Unless something happens today [with Kate] she will be going through contempt proceedings Monday," lawyer Mark Heller told PEOPLE on Friday.
Mark also said that Jon's original attorney was again representing the reality TV dad since Mark is not licensed to practice in the state of Pennsylvania and the attorney who had sponsored his application had withdrawn his support.
Meanwhile, Jon also is reportedly meeting with CBS about appearing on 'Survivor' or 'The Amazing Race.' However, he's still under contract with TLC, so until they come to some agreement, actually appearing on these shows seems unlikely.
But wouldn't it be funny seeing him eat bugs on 'Survivor'?
