Jon Hamm Involved In Racier Movies Earlier In His Career

Don Draper? Seriously? Well, this time you have to read the headline closer. You won't actually see Jon Hamm in these more, um, adult movies, but he worked on a few: behind the scenes. He confided this while appearing on 'The Late Show with David Letterman.'
"There’s always that fallow period in any actor’s life," he explained. "My most proud moment in that phase of my life, I worked behind the camera on some special projects – as a set dresser. So I would move all the props around. It was sort of on the low end of the Hollywood spectrum."
Asked which films he worked on, Jon drew a blank.
"I don't remember them having titles," he joked. "They were the kind of movies that would appear late night on Cinemax."
"There’s a certain amount of nakedtivity in these, isn't there?" David [Letterman] asked him.
"There's a certain amount of nudeular activity, yes," Jon answered.
Well, I'm glad Jon was able to keep supporting himself until he got his break on 'Mad Men,' because I can't imagine anyone else in that role!
But can you imagine if he had gotten an acting role in one of these films? I can't imagine seeing Don Draper doing nudeular activity in a nakedtivity state :)

Ben Affleck To Direct Jon Hamm And Rebecca Hall In New Film

Ben Affleck was able to coax 'Mad Men' star Jon Hamm into a film set in the modern day alongside Rebecca Hall. Ben will direct and act in the romantic crime thriller 'The Town.'
An adaptation of the Chuck Hogan novel "Prince of Thieves," the
story follows the relationship between a bank manager, the career
criminal (Affleck) who stole more than her heart and the dedicated
FBI agent trying to bust the crook and his gang.Hamm is playing the FBI agent. Hall is the reason the criminal
wants to clean up his act but also is the agent's golden ticket to
catching the man."
Does this sound like something worth trudging out to the theater, renting, or a pass?
(Just FYI: those pictures of Ben are of him filming 'The Company Men' in Boston earlier this summer.)

Celebrities On Set
Do you like to see the behind-the-scenes shots of your favorite shows being filmed? I have three this morning to share.
- Alec Baldwin was seen walking around the set of the untitled Nancy Meyers project in downtown Manhattan.
- Jon Hamm and January Jones shot a scene for 'Mad Men' in Pasadena, California.
- Keith Carradine and Michael C. Hall looked like they were laughing a bit in between takes while on the Los Angeles set of 'Dexter'.
Anyone I know that watches Dexter says it's the best show on television. Are you a fan? Haven't gotten into it yet.
