Jonathan Rhys Meyers In Trouble With The Law
Jonathan Rhys Meyers reportedly challenged a police officer to a fight.
The 'Tudors' actor was handcuffed at France's Charles DeGaulle airport in Paris after throwing money on the floor, drunkenly boasting about his wealth and shouting at officers.
He is quoted by Britain's The Sun newspaper as saying to them:
"You wanna hit me? Hit me!"
The 31-year-old star was released from police custody after several hours pending further investigations.
This is not the first time Jonathan - who has been in rehab three times for alcohol addiction - has got into trouble at an airport.
In 2007, he was arrested and charged with being drunk and disorderly at Dublin airport.
The charges were later dropped.
Days after the incident he was seen walking down a London street drinking a can of strong cider. It was later revealed he was struggling to come to terms with the death of his mother.
The Irish actor most recently sought help for his problems in February, when he was treated at an unspecified English facility.
It was alleged at the time that bosses on 'The Tudors' spoke to Jonathan about his alcohol intake while filming the TV show's upcoming third season.
"He is one of the nicest guys in the world, he's a pleasure to work with. He has his demons all right, and he's trying to cope with them as best he can."
He has previously spoken about his battle with alcohol, saying:
"When I do drink I'm like Bambi. I'm all over the place, hopeless, like a 16-year-old kid. People notice."
I hope Jonathan realizes he needs some help right now.

Jonathan Rhys Meyers Has Checked Out Of Rehab
Jonathan Rhys Meyers has officially checked out of rehab. After spending several weeks in Causeway Retreat on Osea Island, the actor is now ready to return to work.
"He is back in LA and he is back at work in so far as he is holding meetings with various parties about upcoming projects," said a source.
"He is a tortured soul in that when he does have days off, he can spiral quickly into a place where neither he nor his loved ones would like him to be."
Tudors fans, you will be happy to hear that production is a go. Jonathan is also said to be taking private meetings with casting directors to submerge himself in his work. We just might be seeing a lot of the actor over the next year or two.

Jonathan Rhys Meyers Quit Drinking After Mother's Death

World Premiere Of The Tudors - The Second Season
I had the opportunity to go to the world premiere of 'The Tudors - Season 2' held at Sheraton Hotel in New York City, but I had a schedule conflict. So I sent one of my shopping writers (Elyn) over there because she lives in town. It was crowed, but she said that the paparazzi were really nice to her - especially the guys from TMZ. And Jonathan Rhys Meyers is a great guy -- read below to see what I mean.On Billie Piper --Billie (she's starring in Showtime's "secret diary of a showgirl" as Belle/ Hanna) ... her lips are ... OMG, distance is her friend (if you know what I mean) ... but we had an amazing discussion about her swearer (damn, it's thrift store) as she & I snuck out after the lights went down for he preview. She headed back to her hotel &, I'll admit it, after 2 hours in the rain on the 10 ft red (read that as so squished I was being used as a balance by Getty & WireImage) carpet in the rain & almost elbowed to the ground by TMZ (a few really cool photogs & Mel from SHO protected me & my spot!) I needed a smoke ... luckily the paps outside scared the living hell out of me... so I ran back cigarette free...On Jonathan Rhys Meyers --Ok, I was prepared to not like him ... or maybe that was just the 2 hours jammed between 2 photogs cameras & a few others using me for abalance board - oh & the tent had a leak, a drip-drip-drip leak. So Jonathan Rhys Meyers shows up at the very, very end & runs - RUNS -the line , barely stops & by that point my feet were soggy & I was PO'd ... but then I head upstairs to get to the cocktail party & what do I see? No photogs, no paps, no cameras period. Just JRM kneeling ON THE FLOOR, outside, in the non-roped off area on his freakin' knees in front of a disabled kid in a wheelchair with a photo album & he's actually reading it with the kid, holding his hand & posing for a pic with the kid for his Mom (no paps allowed) -- & he stayed with the kid & the non-celeb/ industry fans for like 30 minutes.
