I had the opportunity to go to the world premiere of 'The Tudors - Season 2' held at Sheraton Hotel in New York City, but I had a schedule conflict. So I sent one of my shopping writers (Elyn) over there because she lives in town. It was crowed, but she said that the paparazzi were really nice to her - especially the guys from TMZ. And Jonathan Rhys Meyers is a great guy -- read below to see what I mean.On Billie Piper --Billie (she's starring in Showtime's "secret diary of a showgirl" as Belle/ Hanna) ... her lips are ... OMG, distance is her friend (if you know what I mean) ... but we had an amazing discussion about her swearer (damn, it's thrift store) as she & I snuck out after the lights went down for he preview. She headed back to her hotel &, I'll admit it, after 2 hours in the rain on the 10 ft red (read that as so squished I was being used as a balance by Getty & WireImage) carpet in the rain & almost elbowed to the ground by TMZ (a few really cool photogs & Mel from SHO protected me & my spot!) I needed a smoke ... luckily the paps outside scared the living hell out of me... so I ran back cigarette free...On Jonathan Rhys Meyers --Ok, I was prepared to not like him ... or maybe that was just the 2 hours jammed between 2 photogs cameras & a few others using me for abalance board - oh & the tent had a leak, a drip-drip-drip leak. So Jonathan Rhys Meyers shows up at the very, very end & runs - RUNS -the line , barely stops & by that point my feet were soggy & I was PO'd ... but then I head upstairs to get to the cocktail party & what do I see? No photogs, no paps, no cameras period. Just JRM kneeling ON THE FLOOR, outside, in the non-roped off area on his freakin' knees in front of a disabled kid in a wheelchair with a photo album & he's actually reading it with the kid, holding his hand & posing for a pic with the kid for his Mom (no paps allowed) -- & he stayed with the kid & the non-celeb/ industry fans for like 30 minutes. So not only did I not hate him, b t when I asked him why he ran the line & spent the time with the kid he asked me who'd I'D get more satisfaction with ...So good hearted, realistic & gorgeous to boot ...Don't forget: SEASON 2 OF THE TUDORS PREMIERES SUNDAY, MARCH 30 AT 9 PM ET/PT ONLY ON SHOWTIME! I would say we have to forgive him since he is in mourning, but I have a feeling this quote was said prior to the loss.

On Sunday, Jonathan Rhys Meyers was arrested in Dublin and today he has to mourn the loss of his mother. Jonathan was spotted drinking a can of extra strong cider yesterday morning hours after finding out his mother has passed away. I hope he finds peace soon and leans on family and friends instead of drinking to get through this period.

Pictures of the 30-year-old drinking in North London were taken hours after the death of his mother at a hospital in Cork. Geri Meyers O'Keeffe, 50, who was known to have been in poor health, died at 7am at the Mercy Hospital soon after being admitted. She leaves three other sons, Jamie, Alan and Paul. The cause of death was not known last night.

I'm squishing this rumor before it gets any bigger. Strange that it should come out now that Jonathan Rhys Meyers' new movie, August Rush with Keri Russell needs some promoting. Internet reports are claiming that Mr. Meyers is engaged to longtime girlfriend Reena Hammer, but they are simply not true.

"It's just a ring from my girlfriend."

However, he does admit that he is madly in love with Hammer and had nothing but great things to say about her.

"I think it's nice to go out with someone who is smarter than you. It's very sexy. I believe the greatest erogenous zone in the body sits on your shoulders."

Keri Russell attended the New York City premiere of August Rush with her co-star Jonathan Rhys Meyers yesterday. Keri, Jonathan and even their younger co-star, Freddie Highmore all kept it classic in black. I wonder if they planned that.Is anybody planning going to see this movie when it comes out? The plot sounds interesting.

Jonathan Rhys Meyers recently did an interview and photo shoot for Details Magazine Holiday Issue. The 30 year old movie star, who has been in the business since he was young, definitely had some interesting things to say on Hollywood and life in general.
On Brad Pitt and his own self confidence:

"Let's not kid ourselves - ”this business is about being good-looking. Look, Brad Pitt is an incredible actor, but do you think he'd be a famous movie star if he didn't look like that? Come on! Some mornings, some days, you just don't have that physical confidence. That's a horrible feeling. A lot of my success is because of what I look like. I know that.""

On Leonardo DiCaprio:

"[Leonardo DiCaprio] was successful very young, was a party boy, took two years off, and then became this major Hollywood player. Right now I can get a $5 million film green-lit, not a $100 million film."

On being a narcissist:

"Part of being a narcissist is being terribly insecure. If I wasn't so insecure about myself, I wouldn't work as hard as I do. I am constantly seeking approval."

On Staying out of the limelight:

"You know why I stay out of the limelight? I always think there will be that time that people will find out that I'm crap at what I do. I think they will figure out I'm crap. Doesn't everybody have that feeling?"
