Karolina Kurkova Welcomes A Baby Boy
Supermodel Karolina Kurkova gave birth to a baby boy on Thursday. Tobin Jack Drury is the first child for Karolina and her boyfriend, producer Archie Drury.
Her rep said everything went well:
“Both mother and baby are happy and healthy,”
The model and actress joked back in August:
“You know, it’s probably the new thing to be pregnant. It’s not to have the Chanel python bag. It’s to be pregnant,” Karolina joked in August.
Too funny! There does seem to be an abundance of supermodels having babies - Heidi Klum, Gisele, etc.
Congrats to the happy family!

Karolina Kurkova Running Errands In Soho
Pregnant supermodel Karolina Kurkova was seen walking through Soho in NYC yesterday afternoon. This year certainly was a big one for procreation in the modeling industry right? Almost all of the more popular ladies decided to get pregnant. Now we just need Tyra Banks to jump on board and I think we'd have all our bases covered. LOL!
In most of these pictures, you can hardly tell that Karolina is even pregnant. That is amazing. I, unfortunately, was a little more transparent - from every angle.

Richard Chai 2010 Spring/Summer Collection
Richard Chai showcased his Womens Spring 2010 Collection, Love, to a fashionably mature crowd that included a pregnant and glowing Karolina Kurkova. I heard a rumor that everything on the runway is available for $50-$425. With dusky tones of grays, steel blues and plaid, Richard Chai's signature style of crisp, thrown-together perfection shone throughout. On trend were some looks that were made easy for even the least fashion suave, like silk jumpsuits, rompers and lightweight drawstring trousers. Generous adoptions from the male species included the famous boyfriend blazer, the boyfriend vest and the boyfriend shirt. How welcoming for the typical consumer that Richard Chai's emphasis is on a looser fit, as opposed to ones that would only look good on the models that showcase them. Chai borrowed from the military with parkas and jackets that would make perfect transition pieces for spring. Chai used a funky mix of leather, wrinkled rayon, twill and cotton to present clothing that looked wearable and oh so comfortable.
Chai debuted his Mens Spring 2010 Collection mere minutes after his Womens Collection. The crowd milled around, sipping on beer during the intermission. Chai's mens collection could best be described as chic preppy boy casual. With muted shades of gray, beige and black, the clothes possessed great craftsmanship without the characteristic rigidity of men's clothing. The collection was on trend with a healthy dose of plaid but extracted the edgy aspect of Spring's plaid, keeping it airy and understated. Chai's plaid print was bigger on the shirts and perfectly paired with other patterns, such as stripes, which were featured in nylon and wool tank tops. Worn under a blazer, it kept the lines clean but maintained that casual element. Shorts for men were also a main item. They contributed to the classic suit, with a corresponding jacket. Paired with a cardigan that fell well below the hem of the jacket, Chai offered a new way to suit up. The award for pant of the moment definitely goes to the skinny tapered trouser, even for men. Again in muted tones, these were the perfect blend of mature and casual.

The Lovely Ladies Of G.I. Joe Attend Photocall
Karolina Kurkova, Sienna Miller and Rachel Nichols were all looking stunning and stylish as they ended the photocall for their film, 'G.I. Joe: The rise of Cobra', in London yesterday.
The trio were joined by their co-stars, Dennis Quaid, Channing Tatum, Marlon Wayans and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (try saying that name ten times fast), to promote the premiere of their film in London. I'm curious to see how this film does because so far... reviews haven't been so kind.
Sienna has recently said that she filters all her movies for her parents to watch.
“My parents are very supportive of my work, but they hate seeing me die or have sex on screen. I have to cover my dad’s eyes for those parts.”
The actress has previously admitted she accepted her role in the big budget action movie to spare her family from having to see her portray another drug addict or troubled character.
“I’ve never done a huge studio movie like ‘G.I. Joe…’, and I felt like it was time to do something where I wasn’t having a breakdown or addicted to heroin or dying at the end - something that was really great fun and that people went to see and actually just had a great time seeing and weren’t left damaged. I think my parents were also like, ‘Please just stop doing these films - you’re killing us.’ ”

She needs to do a voice over for a child's cartoon next! That should be right up her parents' alley.

Karolina Kurkova Is Having A Boy
Karolina Kurkova is expecting a boy.
The 25-year-old Czech supermodel - who is expecting her first child with her filmmaker fiance Archie Drury - is thrilled to be pregnant and can't wait to meet her new arrival.
The Victoria's Secret model explained:
"The whole experience of having a baby inside of you that's growing is amazing. I start feeling the kicks now and feel the baby."
Karolina added she and Archie already have a name in mind, but want to keep tight lipped until their son is born.
She told OK magazine:
"There's one that the baby really likes. It's really funny, I think he might have decided his name. I don't want to say it, but he knows his name because the baby responds when I talk about that name."
Models Adriana Lima, Heidi Klum and Gisele Bundchen are all also pregnant at the moment, and Karolina - who can soon be seen starring as Courtney A. Kreiger, an army recruit also known as Cover Girl, in new movie 'G.I.Joe: The Rise of the Cobra' - believes the quartet are sending out a positive message to the fashion industry.
"It's a nice message for the fashion industry, a nice thing showing that we are real women and we are normal and healthy and that's why we can get pregnant. And we're growing up. We're not 17 or 18. We're becoming women and becoming moms."
I could appreciate that quote. It is very different from 15 years ago when the models were are concave.
