Titantic Stars Contribute To Survivor's Nursing Home Fees
Wow! Yet ANOTHER reason to adore Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio!!
Millvina Dean was on the Titantic when it sank when she was just 2 months old. Today, she lives in a nursing home and her bills are so high that she is unable to cover the cost. In order to make due, she's been selling off pieces of her ocean liner past.
Kate and Leo got wind of her issue and donated $30,000 to her fund!
Dean lives in a nursing home in Southampton, England since she broke her hip three years ago and has been struggling to survive. Last fall a desperate Dean began selling the doomed ocean liner mementos.
Leo and Kate said in a statement they hoped Dean could rest easy now knowing her future would be free of want.
The stars, who reunited recently in Revolutionary Road, are said to have contributed $30,000 to the fund.
What a wonderful thing to do.
Kate Winslet Says She Feels Sorry For Young Celebrities
Kate Winslet feels sorry for young celebrities. The 'Revolutionary Road' actress relieved she wouldn't be able to handle today's pressures of the industry at a much younger age.
"It's really, really tough. It's like, 'She's fat, she's
thin, she's married, she's divorced.' I had all that and bouncing back is
f***ing hard. I'm really, really happy I'm not a younger actor or actress
working now because they have to run before they can walk."
While speaking with Marie Claire magazine, Kate also admitted that she doesn't mind aging.
"I don't mind the way
I'm aging. I think I look my age, and that's fine.
"I don't think I look younger than 33 and I don't think I look particularly
older than 33. I think I'm sort of holding it together."
But Kate has not always been so happy with her appearance, and admits her
formative years were made hard by bullies.
"I was bullied for being chubby. Where are they now!
"I had, 'No one will ever fancy me!' well into my teens. Even now I do not
consider myself to be some kind of great, sexy beauty. Absolutely not!"I do think it's important for young women to know that magazine covers are
retouched. People don't really look like that. In films I might look
glamorous, but I've been in hair and make-up for two hours, someone's been
lighting a scene for three hours."
It's a great reminder that most of the industry isn't real. I love how stars aren't hiding behind that anymore.

Kate Winslet doesn't need an golden statue to add to her natural glow--she always looks gorgeous on her own! (Although she's probably not complaining about said Oscar:) The actress admits she has changed up her beauty routine with age:
In my early 20's, I had a much rounder face--puppy fat. Now in my 30's, it's more angular, and my make-up needs are different."
But beauty aside, she also admits to a guilty pleasure when she needs it!:
How do I treat myself occasionally? By drinking plenty of fat Coke. I rarely drink soda, but when I do, it's not diet, it's the real stuff."

Kate Winslet Won't Put Her Oscar Down!
I wouldn't either!!! She worked hard for that baby, she might as well enjoy her big moment.
Kate Winslet wouldn't put her Oscar down even for a second at the after parties the other day, she was then spotted carrying the statue to the airport, showed up the next day on Oprah's show with the big guy, and was then seen carrying it when she arrived back home in NYC. Kate isn't taking any chances...she won't let it out of her sight!
"I keep looking at him and going, "Oooh wow". Looking at every little piece - very nice little bottom.
It
really is an outer body experience - you just think, "This can't be
happening" she said of hearing her name called out as the winner. I felt for sure this was going to be Meryl Streep's. I honestly did not think for one second that it was going to be me."
She's so humble. I was truly happy to see Kate win, how about you?
Jennifer Aniston Mobbed At LAX
Jennifer Aniston was mobbed by the paparazzi while arriving to LAX yesterday and had to have airport security escort her through to her terminal. Man... Being Jennifer and some of the other celebrities can't be easy. Traveling is hard enough without hundreds of people getting in the way. :(
Also spotted at LAX were Keri Russell, Hugh Jackman, Kate Winslet, Jennie Garth and her vampire husband Peter Facinelli. I'm sure we will see more celebrities at the airport now that the Oscar's are over and everyone is going back home, or back to work.
What do you think of Keri's outfit? I'm kind of in love with her laid back style.

Playboy Wants Kate Winslet
From Oscar winner...to Playboy? This is insulting isn't it!?
Hugh Hefner is just putting the offer out there. He's hoping to convince Best Actress, Kate Winslet, to join the ranks and bare all for Playboy Magazine. No word yet on how much money is on the table, but I'm sure it's no small sum.
When asked for comment Hef would neither confirm or deny, simply saying,
“There’s no question we would
be interested in Kate.
It’s a competitive market, more than it used to be, so she would be a most
welcome addition in our pages.”
Does anyone else think it's interesting that lately we have been hearing a LOT of random Playboy rumors? Since the magazine isn't doing so well, maybe these stories are coming from an insider just trying to keep them in the media.
And FYI, don't get too excited. Kate was recently quoted telling people she was going to stop getting naked!
“I don’t want to be known as that actress who gets her kit off.”
