That's why she is such a good actor! I mean, think about it - Kate Winslet hands herself over to her role completely. That's why she is so believable and vulnerable in everything she takes on.

But the process of returning to normalcy is hard for this actress. How do she make it back to her own personality? With months and months of soul searching, quiet times, and crying.

"It’s like I’ve escaped from a serious car accident and need to understand what has just happened.

"When I leave a character, I have to analyze the trance through which I
have just passed. It can take me several months to say goodbye to
them."

"My husband is a fantastic support. He
knows when to leave me alone with a cup of tea and a pack of cigs, and,
if I break down in tears, he takes me in his arms. He knows that I have
to go through all that in order to ‘come back’."

She is SO beautiful. I mean, literally, every time I open up a magazine with Kate Winslet in it, or see pictures of her on the red carpet, I am FLOORED! She recently did a photo shoot and interview with InStyle Magazine for their Feb. issue.

As for being called a movie star, the actress says,

"Please don’t call me that. I don’t feel like a movie star in my life
at all, and I don’t particularly think I behave like one. I don't have my own plane. I don't
have a chef or a trainer. To me, you’re a movie star only during the
time when you’re at the Academy Awards or at an important glamorous
event. It’s very much a hat that you wear, and as soon as the event’s
over, the hat comes off. I'm back to being me and being Mummy, and
that’s my priority."

So down to Earth. How can you help but love her?!?
