Kate Winslet Arriving To The Late Show

My favorite leading lady Kate Winslet arrived to The Late Show with David Letterman yesterday looking gorgeous (as usual) all bundled up because of the COLD weather we're having in New York. A friend of mine caught Revolutionary Road and is on this MISSION to have everyone she knows watch it. Did you see the film? What did you think about its message?

Kate Winslet Keeps The Passion Alive

Kate Winslet will be the first to tell you that marriage isn't champagne and roses all the time. It takes WORK. And there's no shame in admitting that.
So how do she and hubby Sam Mendes keep things fresh? They make sure to work in their alone time!
"You have to work at a marriage. The best
things always involve some effort. We aim to have two date nights a
week, but always end up doing one. I don't dress up or anything, we just have a nice meal somewhere, share a bottle of wine and talk."
The key here is switching up your environment.
"Sometimes it's just about getting out of the house. We do loads of
lovely meals with the kids, but every now and again you need to get out
of the house together, go and be a couple, have a laugh."
Ahhhh, no kids and a nice QUIET meal....I must be dreaming. :P
Kate Winslet Stays Slim With Pilates

Revolutionary Road star Kate Winslet isn't into the Hollywood trappings of trainers and two-hour gym workouts. Her weight-control method consists of sensible eating and 20 minute workouts with a Pilates DVD.
'I still don't believe this craziness for being skinny, but I eat
sensibly and I don't stuff down chocolate biscuits,' she tells [UK Elle magazine] in its February edition."
That's some Pilates workout. Anyone have access to the UK's Elle? Maybe Kate gave the title of the DVD?
Despite reportedly having "stunning, sexy shots" for the photoshoot, Kate describes her body as average.
I have cellulite, I have a rumply tummy and my boobs have dropped. I did think that post-kids, my sex scenes days were over."
Yet she can still film sex scenes. I love how open, honest and down-to-earth Kate Winslet is! And she looks great.

Leonardo DiCaprio And Kate Winslet Attend The Revolutionary Road World Premiere

Kate Winslet gets prettier and prettier as time goes by. It's almost amazing. What a knock out!
Here she is alongside Sam Mendes and Leonardo DiCaprio at the world premiere of Revolutionary Road held at the Mann Village Theatre in Westwood, CA.
Who's excited about this movie? Is it because Leo and Kate are reuniting on the big screen? Or do you like the storyline? Are you hoping it will match up to the relationship they had in Titantic? I am very excited about this flick - although I think I will wait until it comes out on DVD to see it.
Also in attendance were Thora Birch and Russell Crowe.

Kate Winslet At The New York Premiere Of "The Reader"

Kate Winslet arrived to the premiere of her new movie, "The Reader" looking gorgeous in a tight Grey dress with metallic heels last night in NYC. Her movie, "The Reader" co-stars Ralph Fiennes and takes place right after World War II in Germany.
Nearly a decade after his affair with an older woman came to a
mysterious end, law student Michael Burk re-encounters his former lover
(Winslet) as she defends herself in a war-crime trial.
Critics are having a problem with this film because they claim it trivalizes the war crimes and instead makes the viewers have pity for one of the Nazi camp guards.
Kate Winslet's Full Frontal Nude scene in her new Holocaust movie The Reader has come under criticism from a string of critics in the US.
The film follows Winslet, a Nazi concentration camp guard, who finds herself on trials for war crimes, accused of killing three hundred Jews.
But the full frontal nude scenes that appear in the film, directed by Stephen Daldry, have been accused of 'trivializing the subject of the Holocaust', by a writer of the New York Post.
What do you think about the subject? Nicole Kidman originally was slated for this film, but backed out last minute. Was she able to predict the press would find issue with the storyline?

Kate Winslet In Parade Magazine

Kate Winslet just recently did an interview with Parade Magazine. The gorgeous actress talks about her weight, of course. It seems to come up no matter which reporter she's talking to, but she's always happy to answer questions on body image.
First Look: Revolutionary Road

We've all been patiently waiting the release of Revolutionary Road starring Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio. Thankfully, some assets came out today and I just had to share. Take a look at some screenshots and the newest trailer.
Frank and April have always seen themselves as special, different, ready and willing to live their lives based on higher ideals. So, as soon as they move into their new house on Revolutionary Road, they proudly declare their independence from the suburban inertia that surrounds them and determine never to be trapped by the social confines of their era.
Yet for all their charm, beauty and irreverence, the Wheelers find themselves becoming exactly what they didn’t expect: a good man with a routine job whose nerve has gone missing; a less-than-happy homemaker starving for fulfillment and passion; an American family with lost dreams, like any other.
Driven to change their fates, April hatches an audacious plan to start all over again, to leave the comforts of Connecticut behind for the great unknown of Paris. But when the plan is put in motion, each spouse is pushed to extremes – one to escape whatever the cost, the other to save all that they have, no matter the compromises.
Revolutionary Road opens in theaters December 26th, 2008.
