Katherine Heigl's New Look: Love It Or Hate It?

Katherine Heigl had a new look on the red carpet for the premiere of her new film, 'The Ugly Truth.' The classic blonde beauty has become a brunette! Now Katherine is a gorgeous woman either way, but how do you like her better, as a brunette or as a blonde? (You can check out some of the thumbnails to see her as a blonde.)
And Gerard Butler shows that he looks great with any woman: forget all this talk about him and Jennifer Aniston, he and Katherine make a great-looking couple too! (But Katherine is married ;)

Katherine Heigl Is Filled With Confidence
Katherine Heigl isn't one of these Hollywood actresses who have no self confidence and are full of self doubt. She knows who she is and she likes what she sees. In fact, Katherine admits she always thinks she looks good... even if perhaps it wasn't her best outfit looking in retrospect.
"I always assume I look better than I actually do. I'll feel pretty
good about myself when I leave the house, then I'll see a picture and think,
'C**p, I had no idea that's what I was looking like.' "
The 30-year-old actress recently admitted she hates using a stylist.
The 'Grey's Anatomy' beauty prefers to dress herself for most events she
attends because she doesn't enjoy the way fashion stylists fuss over her.
She told America's InStyle magazine:
"If it's the Emmy Awards or the Oscars
I need a little extra help, but I just like to do myself because I don't
like all the hoopla."Inevitably it's me who knows what I want. When I leave the house. I want to
look in the mirror and go, 'I feel like the best version of myself in this.'
"
If you had the option (meaning money was no object), would you use a stylist? I wouldn't mind a little help! ;)

Katherine Heigl Defends Herself And Her R-Rated Movie

Katherine Heigl says some people have labeled her the "foot-in-the-mouth-gal" for some of her public comments (such as her criticism of the 'Grey's Anatomy' writers for her storyline material a couple of seasons ago and her criticism of 'Knocked Up'), and she has a response for those people.
"I keep thinking, In what way? Because I said something you don't agree
with? Because I said something you don't like? I'm just telling you my
opinion. I hate the idea that I can't be honest about how I feel about
things because it's going to pi** somebody off who feels differently.
That seems preposterous to me."
Well, you can't say Katherine doesn't stand her ground ;)
She also has no qualms about her latest romantic comedy, 'The Ugly Truth,' being R-rated.
"I didn't want to do another PG-13 movie," she says in the August issue of InStyle.
"[In any real-life contentious relationship with romantic
underpinnings] you're probably going to drop the F-bomb once in a
while. You're probably going to say some things that are kind of harsh.
And you're definitely going to talk about sex. It doesn't have to be so
Snow White and Prince Charming. That's my problem with a lot of
romantic comedies: Everyone spends so much time trying to make sure
it's the fairytale because that's what the rating calls for."
You have to admit, that's true ;)
'The Ugly Truth' co-stars Gerard Butler. Are you interested or does the rating turn you off?

Is Katherine Heigl Overpriced?

Remember when it was first announced that Julia Roberts was going to headline an all-star ensemble cast for an upcoming ensemble movie called 'Valentine's Day'? It turns out up-and-coming star Katherine Heigl was in talks to join the cast. However, she was reportedly dropped because she wanted an "astronomical salary."
An insider told Page Six, 'Producers at New Line originally had
Katherine on their casting list. They wanted her for the project, but
during the talks, she came back demanding $3 million for the role.'Our source calls that number 'ridiculous' because the movie has 'an
ensemble cast where there is really no one lead role. Actors are only
filming between three and 14 days, and no other actors asked for nearly
that amount.' "
Katherine's rep has issued a response to this rumor.
The story is ludicrous. Early negotiations are a daily occurrence in
this business, and just for clarification, Katherine walked away from
this project for multiple reasons."
New Line reportedly had no comment.
It's too bad. The cast includes people like Anne Hathaway, Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel, Jennifer Garner, Shirley MacLaine, Bradley Cooper, and Ashton Kutcher already, so it would have been great to see Katherine added!
What do you think: does it sound like Katherine's loss or New Line's?

Katherine Heigl Back In The Emmy Race

After all the fuss that was made about Katherine Heigl quitting the Emmy race, she's back in again! Entertainment Weekly is confirming that she has indeed put herself in the running.
Cynics will snark that the 2007 Best Supporting Actress winner is back
in the race because of the tensions that allegedly sprung up between
her and series creator Shonda Rhimes after she took herself out of the
running. (The movie starlet, you'll recall, said at the time that she
didn't have material with which she could compete.) But I think -- and
I think you'll agree -- it's likelier that even she knows that, whether
viewers loved or loathed the Izzie's-got-a-brain-tumor story, she
played the frak out of it. She's already earned one high profile
endorsement..."I think she did beautiful work," Rhimes raved Thursday immediately
following the season finale. "I think she always does beautiful work."
What do you think of the news? Are you rooting for Katherine to take home top honors? Do you think she really did do an amazing job as Izzie?

Grey's Anatomy Creator Shonda Rhimes Talks About Finale Shockers

I don't watch the show, but I know plenty of people that do. Any 'Grey's Anatomy' fans out there? Last night's episode was a jaw dropper (or so I've heard) and this morning everyone is talking about what will happen with their favorite characters. EW sat down with Grey's creator, Shonda Rhimes to try to make sense of it all.
Let's get started!
Rumors have been swirling all year that Katherine and TR wanted off the show. The season ends with both their characters' lives hanging in the balance. Purely coincidental?
I don't think there are any coincidences. I think Katherine's stated publicly that she's happy to stay. I think that there have been lots of rumors about TR, but TR's never said anything. Take from it what you will.
This kind of cliffhanger almost seems tailor-made to capitalize on some of those headlines and generate buzz.
You have to remember, I have two shows. It's not as if I spend a lot of time reading the press. We talk about stuff in the writers' room that other people have read, but, mostly, we were really moving on character. Every year at the beginning of the season I pitch what the end of the season is going to be. And I literally sat down and pitched the last 10 minutes of this season at the beginning of the season, so we were headed towards the place that we knew we were going to go.
Do you know which one of them lives and which one of them dies?
Yes. And I don't know that you should be saying "which one of them lives and which one of them dies." I know what happens to the characters.
Katherine said in a recent interview that she was as much in the dark about Izzie's fate as anyone. Do you keep this stuff close to the vest in order to prevent leaks?
There was a joke for a while there that if I got hit by a bus [no one would] know how to end the season. I do feel like a secret's not a secret if anybody knows about it. It was really about trying to keep the storyline as secret as possible, because I wanted the last moment of the season to be a real surprise.
There was criticism that the Denny hallucinations went on too long without an explanation. Looking back, do you regret not revealing Izzie's diagnosis sooner?
